    Jumping Off Rock image
Rough road to get there- 8 miles took almost an hour ——but the view is worth it!!!! The scenery on the way is interesting and be careful on the blind curves for oncoming vehicles. The road is well maintained but look for fallen branches. I was disappointed to see some litter along the road, people ruin everything. The view of the mountains and Lake Jocassee was spectacular! 2. 5.0 Laurel Fork Heritage Reserve (1 review)
    - One awesome place near Jocassee Gorge
Spent More than 3 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks • Lookouts • Scenic Walking Areas
It is 43,000 acres of wonderfulness. Many trails, paths, waterfalls, and Lake Jocassee. I can be reached by boat from Jocassee, or hiking along CaneBrake trail ( 8 miles or so each way) or the Foothills trail connector near Jumping off rock. It can be a challenge to hike around but the views and scenery are worth it You can do day hikes or overnights and camp under the stars. Depends what you want. Another amazing place in South Carolina. See more..
