What an amazing place! I took some of my young children there to spend some good quality time them and I was not disappointed. I found this place on Trip Advisor and I decided to check it out. There are three different playgrounds next to each other with ample slides, swings, monkey bars and places to climb. The best part however is the beautiful nature trail that box along a meandering creek with several small waterfalls. There is a viewing area at the largest of the Little waterfalls that a nice place to either sit or to explore. They will be adding onto the park which will make it even more amazing. There are lots of little creeks and benches a little seating areas. There are pavilions as well so you can either have a nice lunch or even several spots to have a picnic. It is quite shaded which makes it really nice. See wildlife, native plants and enjoy! See more..

So pleased to visit Kid Venture playground and note they have put up a gate on both the Toddler and the Main playgrounds. I am in my 70's and just couldnt keep ahead of my 2 & 3 year old greatgrandsons when they'd head towards the pond! I dont have to worry about chasing them down now. Kid Venture has been greatly improved. I would love to see the picture of the old yellow swing removed that I posted some time ago. New swings have been added, the ducks cant get in and the toddlers can get out now. Not sure who to thank, the City of Anderson, Parks & Recreation, but we now have a safe clean playground of which we can be proud! See more..

My husband and I went here for an easy ‘hike’ to break in some new hiking shoes and ourselves! It was marvelous. We parked just past the park at the waterfall parking lot, which is smaller. It was a great 2 mile or do walk, on cleared trails, with beautiful sights. Most anyone can do this... although no strollers. There were several families and people of all ages and dogs. We will go back. Great historical site as well! See more..
  6. 4.0 Pelham Mill Park (17 reviews)
    - Nice Short Stop if Traveling Through
Spent 1-2 hours Parks • Hiking Trails • Playgrounds
    Pelham Mill Park image
This is an interesting location to view the remains of an old dam used to power a mill from a century ago. Only a few bits of the old mill foundation remain, but a good part of the dam is still there. Does not take long to see it. The historical display of what the place used to look like when active is very worn and hard to see. A fairly nice dog park is nearby. This is a good place to stop and take a break from driving and give you dog a stretch. Only a couple of picnic tables there, and no rest rooms or port-a-john. See more..

I stay in hotels in this area 2-3 nights a week and weather permitting walk each night at this facility. It has a one mile paved walking track that is wide and well lit. In the summer and fall I also walk in the morning as there are multiple cross fit groups working out from about 5am on. In the evening its a very mixed group with runners, people walking dawgs and lots of families. Something to look forward to at the end of a work day! See more..

Little child loved it here. Yes,it is a pocket park but the playground equipment was enough to keep her entertained for a bit after visiting the Sanctuary just nearby; there's also swings. There's picnic table here, and spaces for two cars in front - although parking elsewhere on the street is not a problem. Two garbage cans (one for recycling) helps, although the park was clean. No bathrooms. See more..
