North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex image
Four family members and I took a 1 1/2 hour Segway tour through North Myrtle Beach State Park and Sports Complex. Robbie, our instructor/guide, made our time as safe and fun as humanly possible. The fact that five of us rode over every imaginable type of terrain without a single mishap speaks volumes about the instruction we received and the trails we rode were absolutely beautiful. If you have never been on a Segway, but thought about doing so, this is the place to do it. See more..

We attended a volleyball tournament at the park center. I was very impressed with the facility and the employees. Everything was easy to find and clean. There was also a health fair taking place. We had a great time. When our team won the tournament we went out on the back patio to take pictures. Amazing view with the river in the background! Thanks for the hospitality! See more..

  8. 4.0 Smith Road Complex (1 review)
    - A Great Day for Sports
    Sports Complexes
    Smith Road Complex image
The Smith Road Complex is the home venue for NCAA Division II Newberry College baseball, softball, and soccer. What is truly unique is the fact that the complex is separated from the college by a graveyard! Each facility is small, befitting a small college, but of a high quality. The baseball field has one of, if not the deepest outfield in the NCAA, with a posted 400-foot centerfield fence, and 380 down the foul lines (though I'm told the actual distances are 409 and 389). It makes for exciting, aggressive 'small' ball. The seats behind home plate are hard theater-style chairs (bring a cushion), but if you prefer, bring your own chair and sit on either side of the press box, or on the grass embankment on each side. If softball is going on at the same time, just stroll 50 feet over to that field and enjoy the ladies' game for a bit, too. See more..

Took my 8 year old and 7 year old here to learn to roller skate. They loved it and had lots of fun. Great place with ramps, half pipes, rails and other skating challenges for beginers and advanced. Great for roller skates and skate boards. Outdoors so bring lots of cold water cause they have very little shade. Water fountain is available for the kids. See more..
