We went to Palmetto Peddlers while in town for a race nearby. The store is very large will a wide display of booths. Everything from Diecast Collectables, to furniture, military clothing, tools to assorted junk. The store is neatly laid out in isles the organization is left to the individual booth tenant. You really need to make few trips around the booths to see everything. The Decast Racing and Card booth was very neat. I found the prices a little expensive compared to other stores. The even had a sign a check out stating prices are not negotiable below 100 dollars. The store appears to be located in an old factory or warehouse. This is a huge flea market with all sorts of junk. If you like browsing junk, you'll love it here, especially if you're not one who cares too much about a bit of a mess and maybe the ceiling leaking here or there. Some of the stuff they have here is pretty cool, and there's a large variety of it, but I'm not sure if you'd ever find something actually useful here. Not much to do in Santee. We live an hour and a half south and met friends here for a wedding. Long story short, we spent almost 2 hours and $36 and left with some real sweet antiques and collectibles. John is the most hospitable gentleman you will ever want to meet. He will give you every kind of pecan you want to try and there are plenty. Flavors you would never imagine on a pecan. We went to Red Rooster, the store is well organized with vendors, the also have antiques for sale and a gallery upstairs. Be sure to check out the old elevator.
