What a wonderful time we had on the sunset cruise. Sheryl guided us around part of the lake sharing the history, geology, and info about the plant and animal life along the shore. There was an opportunity to swim in a small cove which has a waterfall. It was a relaxing time spent on a gorgeous lake topped off with a lovely sunset over the mountains which reflected on the water. Just beautiful.See more..

I didn’t take a flight, partly coz their two vintage planes were having routine mtce. Otherwise I could have had 15 mins in the air for a reasonable $290. Longer costs more, natch. Very interesting museum - you can wander around the hanger which is stuffed with planes in various states of restoration; engines; WWII rifles etc. They also had the original B-17 Flying Fortress “Memphis Belle” - the actual aircraft used in the film. This wonderful aircraft is still in flyable condition, and if you had been there last time they took up passengers, you could have sat in the bombadier’s nose seat for $650! But the aircraft’s lease is up and it’s returning to whoever owns it to become a static exhibit. But even without the Belle, this place is well worth a visit.See more..

Chelsea and Haley were the best guides, EVER! 3 adults with a 14 year old, we could not have asked for a better experience! Our zipline experience could not have been better. I highly recommend anyone in the area to definitely check out the package deal where you can raft on the same or a different day at a discounted price. As long as we can have Haley and Chelsea as our guides again, I definitely see us going back for round 2 before the week ends.See more..

Our group of 6 (4 adults, 1 teen and 1 tween) had a great time and highly recommend if you’re in the Beaufort SC area. We were staying on Fripp Island so it was a quick trip to Hunting Island State Park where we met a park ranger who took us to the boat landing across the street where we met the naturalists from Coastal Expeditions. Claire from Coastal Expeditions did a fantastic job explaining the ecosystem as the ferry made its way to the island. She also led us to the beach by tram, pointing out more along the way. We took the tour that takes you through the Pinapolis Locks. The Captain was so informative and the ride through the lock was amazing. You start out on the Tailrace Canal and ride over to the Lock where the water level rises 75 feet and you are then in Lake Moultrie. It truly is an engineering marvel. The trip was only offered in October this year and we are so happy we got to go on this amazing experience.Either before or after the trip be sure to have a meal at Gilligan’s Restaurant!See more..
When I called Blueway adventures, I had a dual purpose: I wanted very specifically to visit the graves of my ancestors who are buried on Church Island in the middle of Lake Marion AND I wanted a fun activity for my extended family that would make getting together fun for all ages. Blueway Adventures delivered! When I called, Deb was so helpful and flexible with setting up the tour (and with sharing area historical resources)--perfect since I was organizing the trip for my extended family! Once we were on site, they prepared all of us with both safety and fun in mind. The activity was perfect for novices, seniors, children, and everyone in between. Added perks included lots of information about the habitat, and once on Church Island, Deb pulled out her camera and took a series of pictures so we can always remember our adventure! Dennis is legit!!! We had the best time with one other couple. This is what my husband and I found in the three hours. Dennis was friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. Also found a whale bone and a couple of other teeth. Great spot, and worth every penny - like anything else, you’re paying an expert to shortcut your journey and give you great access and results in a short time. Highly recommend!See more..

Great Gator Hunt Very Professional. Took time to discuss and go over the equipment and explained the process so you knew what to expect before going out on the water. Explained that he would try and get you the size of gator you wanted. You have to understand you are going out into nature and you may end up getting something smaller or bigger than what you want. The lodge was great, roomy, open and the bedroom had its own bathroom. I loved all the animals that decorated the lodge, exactly what you would expect a place like that to look like. The accommodations were very nice and clean. Took pictures after the hunt and the next morning. They had specific photos they normally took and then asked if there were any specific photos that I wanted them to take. They also took the game to the processor for you if you wanted. They were even willing to pick up the meat later on and if a family member was traveling near where I lived would meet me near where they were going. I thought that was great, I said No but probably should have since it’s a 3+ hour drive for me to get the meat . They were extremely nice and open, great hunt and more importantly it was a successful hunt. I would recommend them and if family or friends go in the future, I plan on paying to tag along.See more..
We rented 2 kayaks for 24 hours. It was the best decision ever! I had never been kayaking before, so I had a ton of questions. Lakyn, from Fish Eagle, was absolutely amazing she answered all my questions and even settled all my fears. She is extremely knowledgeable, and super friendly. She deserves a raise and employee of the month! I think I have found my new hobby! I can't wait to do this again next year!See more..

Jerry Cooper and his team of "wranglers" are the real deal. We were greeted with a smile and they let us visit with horses before we received our training session on the trail ride. Mr. Cooper offered a prayer before we mounted the horses and that really set the tone for a wonderful experience. There were 7 of us there for my daughter-in-laws birthday and 6 of the 7 had never ridden before. The team had such patience and control of the horses during the one hour ride. Jerry picked the right horse for everyone! I was on TNT and he was a beauty to ride! We drove in from Columbia and it was worth the ride!! If you visit Black Horse Run you will not be dissappointed.See more..
