We are a group of 10 freeride fans from Ukraine, and this season in 2020 Annupuri has become our favorite snowboarding area out of all the resorts covered by Niseko United. Firstly, the hike to Annupuri peak is a great experience itself. It might be getting really windy on the way (it was -18 and wind when we were going up), but the outcome is definitely worth the effort. The view from Annupuri peak is epic - you can even see the ocean if it’s not foggy. The way down is a pure pleasure when there’s a fresh powdersnow. You first need to go down the ridge, and then proceed in a great forest. 100% recommended for all backcountry lovers! See more..

We took the 7:20am bus from Keio Plaza Hotel (next to Sapporo Station) reaching the ski place by 9:10a.m. We booked ahead an english speaking private coach. It is 21500 yen for 2x2hr sessions including gear. The lift ticket is 3500 yen for a day. The facilities are reasonably maintained. Most skiers were locals. Kamui is my absolute favourite place to go snowboarding. It's cheap at Y3600 and besides the gondola in peak times, there's little to no queueing. There is plenty of off piste areas, but only go there with someone who knows it. It's very easy to get stuck and have to hike out if you take a wrong turn. 本当に素晴らしいスキー場です、いや、でした。昔は。
素晴らしいパウダースノーでバラエティに富んだコースアレンジメント。
全体的に大きすぎない山で、
3本の屋根付高速リフトが雪の日でも快適に連れてってくれる頂上からは
初心者から上級者までがゆったりと遊べて、疲れたら中腹のレストランで休憩。
たっぷり遊んだら、素晴らしい泉質の温泉で精神面まで休息できる。
夢のようなスキー場だったんです。

経営元の破綻や、歯止めのかからないスキー客減少、2015年から3本のメインリフトは1本のみの稼働となり、コースの1/3しか使えないスキー場となりました...

それでも上記の内、「パウダースノー」「素晴らしい泉質の温泉」は今でも変わらずです。小さなお子様ならスキーやボードの練習に最適。糠平湖ではワカサギ釣りもできますし、風景も素晴らしい場所です。是非遊びに行ってみてください。 See more..

Visited the resort hotel in June. We drove and arrived late and gotten dark shortly. The hotel is located deep in the mountain, not accessible by public transport. The hotel look pretty much old fashion Japanese style onsen resort. The furnishings are quite old but still in good condition. There are gym and other outdoor equipment for hiking and bikes available for outdoor activities. Though I enjoyed the breakfast provided, it is quite basic and limited to Japanese style. It's a small skiing ground frequented by local skiers. It has only one line of chair lift so foreign skiers would almost never come here, although it is only 20-min by car from Toyako onsen area. Having said so, we often saw Chinese group tourists here enjoying snowball fights! On weekends, it is quite crowded because it offers various skiing lessons for local skiers, but it's usually quiet on weekdays. Chair lift fare is only 210 yen per ride, and you can rent skiing equipment for 3000 yen a day, both much cheaper than large skiing areas. So it's a nice place for beginners to practice skiing, but you will need your own transport to come here. It's open for skiing from late December to early March only. See more..

旭川から約70キロ北上した街が名寄市です。
人口三万人の小さい町のこぢんまりスキー場
隣接にはビアシリースキージャンプ場
(ノーマルヒルのみ)が更にクロスカントリーのコースもあるので宿泊施設は
合宿の選手達が来てますよ。

また駐屯地の自衛隊の方々の協力で整備されているらしいです。

平日は隊員の訓練場所にもなってます

スキー場標高低いですが寒い地帯なので雪質自慢が売りかな？

リフトのみ、コースはショートです
リゾートスキー場ではありません。

しかしハーフパイプはないものの
色々な設備はありますから、まずまず楽しめるのでは?

リフト代は回数券高めなんで時間券が
おすすめかも

Didn't want to bring our skis all the way from Europe so we browsed around to find a suitable rental company. The obvious ones (like the hotel and Rythm) we found ridiculously expensive so we decided to go with one of the online companies offering delivery services to our hotel. The one we first thought of had received good feedback and was at half of the price the hotel offered. However when I emailed them and asked what happens if the boots don't fit they told us changing was not included in the price so we dropped them and contacted Winter 1st instead. And from the very first contact we got a great impression. The reservation page was quite easy (one can also call or send email) and we opted for ski deliveries the evening before the rental period was to commence and they followed up promptly with a confirmation. Because of flight delays we were however going to be late to the hotel and the agreed delivery time and therefore emailed the rental company who quickly changed the delivery time to the following morning. Due to their agreement with the hotel we couldn't actually try the equipment in the lobby but instead had to meet them at the parking. That's however not a big issue as they brought boxes to sit on etc. They also came well prepared with several boots to choose from as boots of different brands can differ in comfort. They then mentioned that if we still after a few runs or so wanted to change boots they would swap for free - by just giving 30 mins notice! As our kids wanted to try snowboards one day they told us that swapping the skis for boards wasn't an issue either. But for this they wanted a small fee (800 yen). All the gear we got was new or new for the season and the service they offered was absolutely fantastic and most definitely defined our view of Niseko as a great destination. We warmly recommend Winter 1st as the first ski rental choice in Niseko. See more..
