Scenic, breathtaking view of Hakodate's bustling night life (perhaps mostly just bright street lamps) from a high vantage point. If you're visiting during winter, I recommend you head to the mountain at around 3:30 or 4 PM so you can observe the sunset. You should order some tidbits from the small lounges. They are probably operated by the same owner, and sell delectable Italian-style bites. You can enjoy a cup of tea while waiting for the night view. I highly recommend hiring a taxi to and from the cable car station if you're visiting during winter. The ice on pavements are slippery and it's a nightmare trying to climb up the slope. You shouldn't stay till too late at the mountain because that's when tourist groups start pouring in and the observatories are crowded. See more..

Typical night view enjoyment spot in Sapporo authorized by "the Japanese new three big night view" in October, 2015. MOIWA, there is a stand where I get a large selection of original products of the mascot character "MORISU", and a takeout section is also next to the planetarium, the casual French restaurant where you can have a meal while enjoying the scenery "THE JEWELS" and the restaurant at the mountain top station, and it's also enriched in the facilities. It's barrier free full equipment in order to have many people enjoy in the facilities again, and a guide announcement in a ropeway MORISU car stop is also doing correspondence of English, Chinese and Korean. If you are anywhere near this place, you have to visit it. It is absolutely amazing. Some of the hot springs are fenced off but there are many you can go right up and see, and feel what is going on. A very strong smell of sulphur. We went twice in one day it was so good. There was clouds of steam coming out of the ground, big mounds of sulphur, boiling hot water bubbling out of the ground. Came during winter and grateful for the good weather as it allowed us to do some snow trekking and the view from the top is surreal. Remember to rent the trekking equipment from the visitor centre below the mountain. However, beware the weather on top can change pretty fast. Check the weather before coming. The azaleas populate mt esan and it is an amazing sight when they bloom mid may till june. The park below is where you can catch this beautiful sight. Alternatively, you can climb Mt Esan for a spectacular view. For those driving here from Hakodate, it can get tight along the town so do take extra caution. Hit or miss on the weather because it changes fast being that close to the Pacific Ocean. Great views of Lake Shikotsu as well. Interesting hiking an active volcano. Lots of signs warning you of the fumes if the wind changes direction and what to do. Well maintained trail with many steps at the beginning. Trail starts to become less steep as you reach the crater and even levels off in some places. You can smell, see and hear the vents pushing out the white smoke. Very beautiful once inside the crater like a different world. Well worth the hike, this was my second time and the weather was perfect. No bugs in September but I could see it being very buggy in Summer. See more..

while the summit of Mt.Shari is not very spectacular, the real reason to do this hike is the "old trail" up. After the first trail/forest section you will reach the stream which you will follow for several kilometers uphill. At most places the stream turns into a waterfall and you will be hiking/scrambling right next to it. There are countless spots to take great pictures and the water is clean and clear. it's ice cold and drinkable and i filled my bottle with it but didn't get sick... now a few weeks later i can confirm that. after the waterfall you will go through some low growth scrubs until you reach the rocky section to the first saddle. from there its a 15 min. climb to the summit. Going down use the "new road" which is dry and easier to decent than along the waterfall. all in all about a 6.5 hour total hike going at an average pace with plenty of stops to take pics. See more..

ポン山は利尻島にはたくさんあり、小高い山を指す言葉のようですが、ここは鷲泊に近い利尻山の登山道の途中にあるポン山の事です。
自然休養林の駐車場に車をおいて登っていきます。　途中に有名な甘露泉水があり、そこからが本格的な登りになり、小ポン山との分岐までいけばあとはすぐです。

１０月末、僅かに雪をかぶった夕張岳は今まで見た山々の中でも一番の美しさでした。
道路沿いには駐車エリアが何箇所か設けられているので、ジックリと感動を味わえます。

然別湖畔の道路を少し入ったところに登山口がある。森の中を１時間ほど登ると大き岩がゴロゴロしている場所に出て山頂が現れる。大雪山系の南の端に位置しているので，山頂の北には眼下に然別湖が見える。大雪の山々も見える。南には十勝平野の農耕地が見下ろせる。山頂の岩場をわずかに下り矢印（分かりにくいので注意）に従って東の急坂を下ると、展望山山頂に登る道と北に向かい然別湖畔に下りる登山道に分かれる。展望山を登ると白雲山と同じような景色が観れるが，白雲山の方が視界が開けていたと思う。さらに展望山を東に下山するとホッカイドウ三大秘湖の東雲湖が見えて湖畔近くに下りられる。東雲湖畔から北に２０分ほどで然別湖畔に出て湖畔沿いの森を西に歩くと登山口に戻る。６時間あればいいだろう。ブト対策が必要。虫除けスプレーと長ズボン　長袖　手袋が必要。 See more..

ここは初心者が気軽に入る山ではありません。
整備が入っていないため、道迷い、滑落の可能性があります。
一昨年、沢山の熊を駆除しましたが、とても熊の多い地域です。行かれるのでしたら熊対策と装備をしっかりと。
往復7kmで7時間くらいかかると思った方がいいです。
山頂からは見晴らしがなく、藪の中ですのでピークハントにこだわらなければ950くらいの岩場で戻って来られるといいと思います。

　徳瞬別山は大滝村の側にある山です。登山口には約15台前後の車が駐車できますが山ブームのためか休日は朝8時くらいには注射したほうが良いと思います。
　登山口から2時間くらいで山頂に行くことができる一応初級者向けの山です。ただ久しぶりに登る人には大変と思います。水はけがよくないので雨が降った翌日などはスパッツを履いたほうがいいと思います。
　天気がよければ山頂からの眺めは素晴らしいです。羊蹄山、洞爺湖、ルスツ高原なども見ることができます。太平洋側もみられるようですが、私が登った時は太平洋側はくもっていてみれませんでした。またホロホロ山もすぐそばにあり、往復すると約1時間です。 See more..
