Kushiro was one of our ports of calls in Japan and if at first sight , the port seemed to have more of a commercial vocation than a touristic one , the Nusamai Bridge was close by and it did offer some interesting views . First the 4 statues representing the 4 seasons are really nice . Second , the views on both sides of the bridge are very photogenic , specially at sunset . Third , the Bridge has interesting landmarks at both ends and is an easy walk from the ship ! See more..

There are a few carparks along Nukabira National Highway that runs alongside with the man-made Lake Nukabira. We didn't stop at any until we came to the last one that is just beside road at the opposite side(we were heading north) as we intended to just check out the longest concrete arch bridge of the former rail line. The so-called carpark is just a space wide enough beside the main road for maybe 6-7 sedan cars. The easy walk or hike through the forest from the carpark took us abt 10min and brought us to the shore of the lake. The observatory is just only an open space near to the lake side with a unobstructed view to the other side of the lake where the arch bridge is. We can see the bridge only from far, and spent a few good minutes to just admire its structure and the background for its existence. See more..

The longest suspension bridge is indeed a sight to behold. We drove on it! It’s only a 4 km drive, but we drove to and fro and enjoyed the mesmerizing views on both sides. The bridge is so well planned and constructed. There’s also a Ferris wheeel for travelers to enjoy the scenic view.. it was simply amazing.. See more..

A railway bridge that is now used as an iconic red bridge at Lake Shikotsu, the Yamasen Bridge is clearly visible from afar as you make the journey towards the Lake Shikotsu area where the yearly Ice Festival is held. Wouldn’t go all the way just to see the bridge but more for the scenic beauty of the lake and its surroundings. See more..

国道２７３号線沿いに、旧国鉄士幌線の名残が点在しているうちの一つです。
特に駐車帯があるわけではないので気を付けて見学した方がよいでしょう。
ＮＰＯひがし大雪自然ガイドセンターのガイドさんの話によると、ＮＰＯとして学校の授業で子供たちに川遊びなどの授業をここでするそうです。
また、いくつかあるアーチ橋の中でも、普通は真円のアーチ橋だけど、ここは川にかかる部分が楕円になっているとの説明があり、言われなければ気が付かなかった、なるほどなという感想です。 See more..

上士幌町からぬかびら温泉郷に行く途中にあります。
駐車スペースがあるのでそこに車を停めて橋を戻る形になります。橋の上からきれいなアーチを見ることができます。

北太平洋シーサイドラインを走行して、厚岸湖を渡って厚岸の道の駅グルメパークに立ち寄りました。その途中で厚岸湖を繋いでいる赤い色の橋が、厚岸大橋です。

Date of visit: 13 Oct 2019 The leaves were still green when I visited the bridge, unfortunately. My guesstimate was that the colours might probably be more evident in early Nov this year. Standing on the bridge, I thought I saw a sliver of the blue sea in the horizon. According to Google Maps, the bridge is ~200m above sea-level and only ~6km from the sea. The topography of the land is generally downward sloping towards the sea so my conjecture may be right. The bridge is ~120m above the river. At one end of the bridge, there is a resting place (car-park, washroom facility, pavilion). At the other end of the bridge, the view of the forested vista is slightly marred by the presence of some solar-panel farms close to the bridge. This bridge is where highway route 782 crosses the Noboribetsu River and is located ~4km from Noboribetsu Onsen. If beautiful autumn foliage is in season, I think it is worthwhille taking the 6-8 minutes’ drive from Noboribetsu Onsen to look at the colourful panorama that stretches into the horizon. Otherwise, I don’t believe there is any compelling reason to drive out of the way to see this bridge. See more..

ほとんどが直線で構成されています。
12号線を走っていると周囲に高い構造物がないのでよく見えます。
夜間はライトアップと言うほどではありませんが照明があり

Aidomari bridge is the last bridge on the eastern side of Shiretoko peninsula heading north (Hwy 87). As you approach the bridge you see signs warning you not to go further. You can drive across the bridge and then turn around where the road ends. There are a few fishing buildings. Beyond the buildings is the wild eastern side of the peninsula. The end of the peninsula is another 26 kilometres away. There are no further roads or hiking trails along the coast. The signs warn of brown bears. The only reason to drive on the road to its end is to see the end of the road (nothing but the fishing shacks) or to stop at the Aidomari or Seseki hot springs. Visited 9/23/2017 See more..
