灯台までの木道を往復だけして帰る人も多いですが、時間があれば本来の落石岬まで歩くことをオススメします。
２時間くらいのんびりと散策しましたが、天気の良いＧＷというのに、途中誰ひとり出会いませんでした。
駅までの道中、落石漁港も絵になります。

赤平に有る石炭産業の遺構のシンボルの１つです。
ＪＲ赤平駅から行くには駅構内をグルっと廻ってこもれび道りに出る必要が有ります。

ここのズリ山は国内最大級のズリ山らしいのですがこれが人工物には見えないほど自然に返ってます。階段入口前に｢熊出没注意！｣の看板が有りそちらの方が気になって気になって・・・

Teuri Island has rich forest which disappeared once in the past. 50 years ago, people planted trees to make forest again. The forest locates in the middle of Teuri Island. Once you get in there, it seems like bit chilly and moisture than outside. There are some species of migratory birds depending on seasons so you might be able to hear some birds singing on trees. 絶景の連続でした。放牧中の馬を横目に進み、だだっ広い草原を一人進みました。草原は牧草地のようで、時々足元に大きな落とし物があるので要注意！沢を渡る所があったり急な坂もあるので軍手があるといいかもしれません。
