No wait after the rain on a weekday
Had this on my to-do list while in the area. Unfortunately, I found the information on the Wednesday-only Sunrise event on Wednesday afternoon so I was unable to buy tickets for that. I waited most of the day for the sky to clear up after I checked out of my hotel just to do this before going home. Once it was clear enough I drove over and found there was no line for tickets and they gave a Veteran discount. Didn’t really want my photo taken since I was just there by myself but they insisted. Had a gondola all to myself and I believe there were only 2 others with people in them, they let us go around for about 15-20 minutes. Once I was off I saw they printed out my photo. They print out everyone’s photos even if they don’t buy them, what a waste. The exit was through the gift shop, I wanted a magnet but the majority of the items in the gift shop were for something called Landshark. I had to ask what it was, It’s a beer and a restaurant next door. Found a magnet and since I had to pay for an hour of parking I went for a walk on the beach. Nice place.

I Lived Through It: So Will You.
They had a really good promotion going. Two SkyWheel tickets with a $25 voucher for the attached restaurant for $45. Thought that was reasonable considering prices everywhere are a whole lot of over the top. I'm not a fan of heights and this is HIGH but I did eventually open my eyes to take a look. Love the ocean and miles of beach/hotels/people. Have to do it, it's part of the Myrtle Beach experience. They have a panic button if you want off.
