    Fantastic Plantation and Presentations
We spent 4 hours here touring the home, grounds, exhibits, tractor ride, and presentations. The Gullah geechee presentation was outstanding - Jennafaye was fantastic and hung around to answer all our questions and talk about the sweetwater baskets and quilts she had made!! Bruce gave a super presentation on the plantation heritage and Earl was very good about plantation life, The diner and souvenir shop was nice and reasonable. Had pre-packaged chicken salad sandwiches and broccoli cheese soup that was tasty and hit the spot. Plenty of souvenirs and trinkets. We used Adventure Tour guides to get us here from the Visitors Center and that was easy to use. Would highly recommend this plantation to see. One price for all activities - not very crowded on a beautiful afternoon. Much learnings and history and perspective. Great spot and highly recommend.

    Fright Nights
Went to Fright Night and we had a blast. Lots of workers stationed around the venue making sure people aren’t cutting line etc. so that’s nice to see some order. Had 2 twelve year olds with me and they had a blast!!! I do not like they took away the option to buy tickets to individual events and you can only buy the Scare Pass…it is rather expensive. For 3 people, after taxes and online service fees it was nearly $120. The houses were fun and scary…however the “Freak Show” house has areas where the walls are canvas and they are being supported by big metal poles with gravel and large rocks on the ground…Keep in mind there are strobe lights, actors and other people…My daughter ran into one of the metal poles. It broke her glasses, made her eye bleed and she has a black eye. So I would suggest not using that construction in the future especially in areas where it’s hard to see. My other kid slid on the gravel and fell. Her pants were tore open and her knees were bloody. Did not have these issues in the “Lodge” as it is better constructed. However, overall we had a lot of fun, even though we left with black eyes and bloody knees.
