    Followed advice and did the Rhine boat tour from Bacharach to St Goar. We sat outside and it was a lovely day. We didn’t get off at St Goar just stayed on the boat ride as our goal was just to do a Rhine cruise. They offer food and drink service so enjoyed a glass of wine. If you are looking for more cruise options don’t wait to get to Bacharach to do it as there are only this boat company and one other one so times and options limited but if planning on staying in Bacharach it’s very nice because it’s a very small town and not much to do.     Hi we went on a boat trip from Saarburg to Mettlach and a little further up the river. It was a long trip from 0900 to 1700 with a 2 hour stay in Mettlach which is the home of villeroy and boch and where it was started.and there is a museum. We booked our tickets with the landal warsberg campsite and when we boarded there was an issue with the woman doing the checks who said we have to pay more as the campsite had got the charge wrong. It was not pleasant but we put it to one side and carried on the day. We saw hardly any wildlife however transiting the massive locks was interesting. See more..

    We took the on landing round trip down to Loreley from Boppard, the scenery is beautiful with lots to look at on route helped by a little English commentary. The ship was immaculate in every area, there was also a very nice waitress service with drinks and snacks. This trip at €10 each was excellent value. See more..
