  1. 4.5 Dynamikum (85 reviews)
    - A gem!
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Science Museums

The Dynamikum is a delightful museum, well thought out and presented. The building itself is a converted shoe factory (if memory serves) which just by itself pays a lovely homage to the area's history. The building also has a gorgeous atrium and the layout of the displays flows nicely. The staff is great with Rolf Schlicher being particularly gracious. The park next door is delightful and the area has some beautiful pastoral walking/hiking paths. While I'm at it, we stayed at the Hotel Kunz (a couple of times now) which is a terrific property with food and amenities that are outstanding. See more..
  2. 4.5 Museum MONREPOS (36 reviews)
    - A thrilling dive into the origins of mankind

I have known this region for decade. Yet, I never would have expected such a thrilling dive into the history of mankind. A mix of hightech and thoughtfulness catches your interest from the very moment you enter the museum. You understand the thrills of ancestors in striving to survive. You learn about complete different strategies to have success in hunting. Your lean about the birth of abstract thinking. And you also learn about how our cooking habbits have evolved throughout the milleniums. Much is at your own choice. You pick what is of interest to you. You selct whether you are more interested in playing high tech games or simply explore draers. In the end you know much more about yourself than you ever dreamed of. By the way - there is an offer to combine the visit with a brunch. This is clearly double fun. See more..

This is one museum you need to visit. After we took a very long hike to a "maar". We walked to the museum to see all the fossils they have. There is even a section where you can hold in your hand many stones with fossils in them. It is great to take your children too. See more..

Happened to be headed out for a shopping trip today when we noticed road signage for this place. Discovered a very nice museum that we will visit again soon. The cemetery and burial mounds were quite interesting. Was also fascinating to think about walking along old Celtic/Roman roads. The Roman road originally ran from Trier to Mainz. See more..

  7. 4.5 Ernst-Bloch-Zentrum (4 reviews)
    - Was ist Heimat? Was ist Hoffnung?
    Spent 1-2 hours Science Museums
    Ernst-Bloch-Zentrum image
