I agree with the other reviews. We booked early and wanted as many canoes as possible for our group. We managed 10 doubles, a triple, and 2 singles. There were no more available. It is summer and a warm day, so, understandable. If you want to be sure if getting a canoe, book in advance. The staff were ALL friendly, helpful, speaking either German or English easily. They take time to ensure everyone has the equipment, and then explain the route. There's also a snack bar with good basic snack options, including home baked cakes. Plus a wide variety of drinks, including radlers (isotonic 0% alcohol) and Viez (regional cider). All at affordable prices. We only did the easy short circular route, which was fun. I would easily go back and do one of the other options. See more..

The Lahn river is a fantastic place to go canoeing. Kanucharter in Nassau is the No.1 address for renting boats, canoes or even cayaks. If you want to start further up the river, they bring the boats to your starting point. So you can choose how many miles you want to paddle. It’s also possible to just cruise past Nassau. Don’t forget to check out that nice little town! It‘s worth a day trip! See more..
