    We booked the Rock and Raft package where we rock climbed in the morning and rafted in the afternoon. Our guide was Michelle and she was simply amazing. She was so friendly and patient. She took the time to help us first time rock climbers with the ins and outs of climbing. My son was very interested and Michelle took the time to explain the names of the different types of cracks and how to approach them when climbing. After rock climbing, we stopped for lunch. I was expecting sandwiches or something easy, but we were treated with an actual meal of fajitas. After lunch, we hit the river. While the water was lower due to it being late July, Michelle still made the rapids fun. We had such a great time and it was the highlight of our trip to NM from TX.     My two teenage kids and I spent a day with Nathaniel wading the San Juan below Navajo Dam. Neither of my kids had ever fly fished, Nathaniel had the two of them casting in about 20 mins. My daughter, ever the lucky one landed a 21 inch rainbow that was the catch of the day. Nathaniel is a local, knows this water thoroughly, can tie a fly faster than anyone I know of, and is very patient with everyone. If you are looking for a first rate guide in Navajo Dam, Nathaniel should be at the top of your list. Highly recommend See more..
