4.5Jemez Hot Springs(349 reviews) - Blissfully intimate Thursday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Hot Springs & Geysers
Jemez Hot Springs, a "Mountain Tropical" Day Resort, is located at the site of the earliest Bath House in the Jemez Springs area. Before that, the mineral water was used by the Native Americans of the area. Our water comes from deep beneath the Valles Caldera (ancient volcano) up the mountain. The four pools contain an ancient sea water abundant with a relaxing and therapeutic blend of minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, silica, sodium and more. The source is 142 degrees F, but the pools are kept at a comfortable 102-104 degrees. The water is natural, and no chlorine or chemicals are added. We use ultraviolet light, ionizers and an oxygen inversions system to disinfect the water, and they are flow-through pools, so the water changes out regularly. Swim suits are required, children 14 and over are welcome, and for the comfort of our guests. Reservations are not required.See more..

4.0Faywood Hot Springs(129 reviews) - Great stay! Thursday: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Hot Springs & Geysers
We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of August and it was amazing! We stayed at campsite 46 which was absolutely perfect, it felt private and had a picnic bench, firepit, water and a clothes line. The restrooms were a short walk as were the hot springs and club house. The baths were lovely and relaxing, especially after a day at city of rocks - is it worth noting that new mexico are only allowing residents of the state into state parks. The staff were all really nice and accommodating, Tony checked us in and gave us all the information we needed for our stay, he was great! Definitely recommend this campground for a short or long stay. We wish we could've stayed longer!See more..

4.5McCauley Hot Spring(34 reviews) - 4 beautiful hot spring pools, remote and quite Hot Springs & Geysers
My husband and I went to McCauley warm/hot springs in May 2013. There are two trail heads. We took the trail head from Jemez Fall campground parking lot because it was the shortest trail to the hot springs, only 4 miles round trip. The trail to the springs was 90% downhill and was strenuous in many places. We had to climb over six fallen trees. It took 60 minutes to walk to the small creek where the pools/springs were located. The trail was clearly defined until we arrived at the springs. At that point, there were trails everywhere. The four pools are uphill from there. All four pools were beautiful. The water was very clear and warm, not hot, about 85 degrees. The area was very clean, no trash. The 90% uphill return trip to the Jemez Fall campground took about 75 minutes. We did not see anyone on the trail or at the springs. The only wildlife we saw was one squirrel. One more note, we went to the McCauley mid-week and started our hike at 9:15 am.See more..
Some of these reviews must be old ( pre 2018). Theirs been an influx of artists and musicians here including a great brew pub and a couple of first class resteraunts but it’s still about the reasonably priced spas. Anyone who thinks this isn’t a great value hasn’t been to the spas around Santa Fe recently. A hotel room plus unlimited soaking costs less here than a private tub for an hour up north. See more..
