    - Best Adult Experience Ever

The interaction with the animals along with the knowledge of the owners were amazing. They were very patient and understanding and willing to answer even the smallest or dumbest questions we had. They went above and beyond for us and we never felt rushed as you do with some facilities. This will 100% be a yearly thing along with taking my kids separately so they can have this experience as well. I do recommend if this is something for you personally as the adult, to go with other adults instead of your children. I feel as though if I had my children with me I wouldn't have gotten the full affect cause I would be worried about them doing something accidently. I hate online reviews because you never know when someone is lying or paid to write something but I can tell you this is 100% worth your time and money. This really was an amazing experience and I will continue to and then volunteer as well! Thank you this amazing opportunity Safari Zoological Park!!!! See more..

This place is fantastic for children. We got to bottle feed the goats, stroll through the butterfly garden, and ride the horse-drawn carriage. There are so many animal exhibits and playgrounds that the kids will have fun for hours. We didn’t get a chance to check out the shopping area but it looked so quaint. It was a very affordable day trip. See more..

    Tanganyika Wildlife Park image
To start, from the moment we walked up to the ticket window and had our first encounter at the park to the workers throughout the park, the staff was very friendly and willing to answer questions. They clearly love what they do and it shows. What really made this park different from any zoo I have ever been to is how close you are able to get with many of the animals. We fed a miniature hippo, rhinoceros, lemurs, lorikeets and a camel. We could have fed llamas, goats, turtles, penguins and others. We also were able to enter the kangaroos’ yard and interact and pet them. What a treat! The grounds were well cared for. It had a splash park which was a welcomed treat for the kids on the hot day. I highly recommend anyone in the Wichita area go and enjoy this delightful place. See more..

During their visit, guests can enjoy a narrated tram ride through the zoo which stops at key locations in the park so guests can get off and explore on their own. 7. 4.0 Sunset Zoo (179 reviews)
    - Perfect size zoo for an afternoon with grandkids!
    Saturday: 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM Zoos
    Sunset Zoo image
Visited the zoo with my two young grandchildren. I like the fact that you can easily walk the entire zoo in less than an hour. No waiting lines to see animals that seem very well cared for. I have visited the large city zoos that seem very focused on trying to sell snacks and gifts at every turn. I prefer this quieter, less distracting of an experience. See more..
  8. 4.5 Lee Richardson Zoo (126 reviews)
    - Big city zoo in a small town
    Saturday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Zoos
    Lee Richardson Zoo image
This is a great zoo and very big. I'm Bruce the zoo guy and I reviewed about a hundred zoos and aquariums. First off with this so you can either walk through it or do a drive-thru. The enclosures are big with plenty of room for all the animals to have some space. Enclosures for the most part they're done very well. They are adding a lot of new section too. Going to do a lot of walking cuz this is a pretty good-sized Zoo due to the size of the enclosures. Very well stated so you can come on a hot day and still enjoy it. There's not a lot of food or anything like that going on. The gift shop closes earlier than the zoo. Most of the major animals are represented here including elephants giraffes that big cats etcetera. I highly recommend this Zoo. Very well done very very well done. My favorite exhibit was the river otters. See more..

Awesome Park & Zoo! Great place to spend some quality family time. Lots of playground equipment for kids of all ages in the Park as well as VERY inexpensive carousel rides, train rides, and mini golf. For a free zoo, it is really nice. The monkeys on Monkey Island are always entertaining and active. Monkey Island is home to the famous Miss Able space monkey. With a short stroll to the ravine you will find a cougar and bears in a natural habitat. See more..

David Traylor Zoo of Emporia image
Tremendous for a SMALL zoo. Great for small children. We'll come again and I'm sure we could have a picnic right there. We were meeting our daughter, son in law and their 4 children They had traveled a little over 100 miles and my wife and I traveled 200 miles. They often visit the Kansas City Zoo.... but it is so big that the kids, 7, 6, 4 and 2 cannot hold out to see the whole thing. It was on a cold day and after traveling, the restrooms were welcomed. Tables are available. The place was clean and neat. See more..

Not to many large towns have a zoo, let alone a small town. The Brit Spaugh Zoo in Great Bend is truly impressive. Utility park & zoo image
It is a nice, little zoo but the times have changed and we have learned more about animals and what types of environments they thrive in. There is no way that enclosure is large enough for the bear. I really hope they make some changes to some of those habitats. See more..
