  4. 4.0 Finney County Public Library (5 reviews)
    - Great and Welcoming Local Library
    Spent 2-3 hours Libraries
The Finney County Public Library has quite a bit to offer the community. A large book collection, new material that comes out every Saturday, cake pans for check out, and a growing video game collection that patrons are welcome to check out. There are a number of computers available for patron use and Wi-Fi is free for everyone and requires no sign-up or passwords. The library is also great at hosting quite a few events every month for the community. Events are free and always interesting. The library is also one of the few places in town where people can still rent DVDs, get documents notarized, and submit faxes. And just like everything else in Garden City, the library is very much a family-friendly place. It's not a traditional quiet library, but there are private study rooms available for patrons that prefer less noise while they work. See more..

We were in Atwood doing some ancestry research on my wife's family. We visited the museum really for archival research but were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful exhibits and artifacts from a time gone by. As neat and tidy as the community of Atwood itself, we really enjoyed our visit. Should your travels take you along I-70, exit at Colby and take the short drive north. Worth the stop! (They'd appreciate any donation you'd be willing to make!) See more..
