Three of us played this gem of a golf course just 15 miles north of Topeka. It is a MUST for any serious golfer in the greater KC metro area! I LOVE the windsocks on the flagpoles for each hole. They're more than decorative since the wind is the course's main defense and it pays to know how strong and in what direction the wind is blowing on each hole. The clubhouse and parking lot are minimal but get the job done. I also Love the use of native, natural elements for tee markers, signs, etc. This is a true test of your golf skills. We held a couple's bridal shower in the outdoor Pavilion 6/14/20. Bailey was fantastic to work with. She was very diligent in ensuring all our questions were answered during the planning process and was very responsive and timely. She offered great suggestions to ensure every detail from the food selection to the decorations and table layout were perfect for our event. Baily hung outdoor lights throughout the Pavilion to add ambiance. This course is a gem with smooth greens and nice fairways/tee boxes. I took 3 other friends here for a round of golf (1 from Nebraska, 1 from Florida, and 1 rode up with me from Topeka. It is exceptionally well maintained and the owners are always on-site. This is a very challenging nine hole. 3.0Mariah Hills Golf Course(1 review) - Hold on to your hat! Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses I remember well why I hadn't played this course in almost 20 years, it's just an average Muni course. I'm familiar with playing in wind (40 mph gusts) and it's ALWAYS blowing. What I didn't like was the poor course management. The greens we average size and recently aerated. The cups were horrible! When they were placed, the flag holes became clogged with dirt & sand and the pins would NOT fit all the way down causing the wind to either blow them completely out or knock them over, damaging the hole.
