4.5Flume Gorge(1.737 reviews) - Expensive to get in but still worth the hike Saturday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Historic Walking Areas • Geologic Formations • Waterfalls
This 800-foot-long gorge with towering granite walls is at the base of Mount Liberty. You can explore the gorge on a short two-mile hike—it has a lot of uphill sections and stairs, so wear a good pair of shoes. While you're there, check out the Flume Covered Bridge (across the scenic Pemigewasset River) and Table Rock (an open granite rock face), too. Visit during fall for beautiful orange hues, or during summer and early spring for stronger water flows. The narrow gorge can get busy, so get there early in the day for fewer crowds. Reservations are required—book online in advance to secure your slot. – TripadvisorSee more..
4.5Diana's Baths(1.571 reviews) - Crowded, but beautiful Waterfalls
We hiked at Diana's Baths on a Tuesday morning. It's got a beautiful series of waterfalls, and it is near North Conway, and that leads to crowds. It's certainly not a quiet nature experience! It is very popular with families with small children, and dog owners. The trail is well maintained and is pretty easy hiking up to where the falls begin. The National Forest fee for parking is $4 per car, and that gets you into any other WMNF lot the rest of the day--we found that quite reasonable. But parking can also be crowded. As we were leaving, the lot was completely full, and someone was waiting behind us to take our spot. I suggest going early! See more..
The beautiful Jackson Falls located between Carter Notch Road and Black Mountain Road was designated "Wild & Scenic" in 1978. The Jackson Community has always considered the Falls a special place and the people are dedicated to keeping it "Wild & Scenic". In honoring the falls area there is a move to assure the landscaping will continue to flourish and grow. We want to being the following information to the forefront of all: The parking is very limited and now timed to a 2 hour visit. There is extended parking in the Village below and visitors can walk to the falls area. Through out our State there is a "Carry out what is Carried In" requirement. Please respect our efforts to keeping our beloved natural areas trash free. There is a public restroom at the top of the falls area. Together we can help keep Natures best flowing!See more..
We went 30 minutes out of our way to view the falls and it was definitely worth it. Short hike along the rushing water to the top of the falls. You then descend to the bottom of the falls by way of a 120 step well designed rock staircase with a railing. At the bottom you are right by the falls. Beautiful setting!See more..

Magical foliage, beautiful tranquil lake in the mountains, gift shop, picnic tables, safe parking and several easy trails are waiting for you at the Wiley House Historical Site in Crawford Notch State Park. Lovely spot along picturesque Route 302 to walk and relax. Next time we will hike Aretusa Falls Trail (we didn’t have time to do it this week but the views of Frankenstein Cliff from the parking lot were worth a short stop.See more..
4.5Profile Falls(46 reviews) - worth the short walk in the woods Spent 1-2 hours Waterfalls
With a short walk through the woods, one sort of steep and narrow part of the path and a few rocks to navigate, you come to the memorable view that is Profile falls. There seemed to be a couple dozen people hanging out and a half dozen swimming in the pool below the falls, The bugs weren't too bad but be careful of the poison ivy on the sides of the walk below the falls.See more..
As I write this NH is in a drought. Very little rain has fallen this year and last year we had very little snow. Even with these conditions this was a great place for a hike. The falls were flowing but very limited. The pool at the base was nearly stagnant but the place was still peaceful. I think I would like to come here on a normal year and see the falls when they are really running. As others have said this is an easy hike for anyone and that includes young kids. I would think 3 or nearly there would be the minimum due to a steep walk down right when you get to the falls. Also note that gps will almost certainly take you the wrong way. We followed ours to a street that had a street sign stating "your gps is wrong " and it was. They must get that a lot to spend money to buy a commercial grade metal sign for their road. We found the trail off purgatory road just north of the 101/101A intersection. Look for a small dirt lot on the left as you head from 101. See more..
4.5Welton Falls(14 reviews) - Good hike ending with a beautiful waterfall Hiking Trails • Waterfalls
Hiked from the AMC cardigan lodge to Welton Falls via the Manning Trail. It was not a super challenging hike but we were still breaking a sweat and it was a good trail to take the dog on. Walked for maybe an hour before reaching the waterfalls and we were very pleased. It's a beautiful waterfall and there are numerous spots to get a great view and take pictures. The trail leads right down to a nice spot where you could set up a picnic or swim.See more..

5.0Wiswall Dam(1 review) - SCENIC SPOT NEAR THE ROAD Dams • Waterfalls Wiswall Dam is on the Lamprey River. The area around it is scenic. There’s a parking area for several cars for walking out to the see the dam and its spillway as well as for the adjacent John Hatch Park. The walk on a wide dirt path to the large fenced-in overlook of the dam is very easy for most people. Although slightly bumpy over some small stones here and there, the path could accommodate a wheelchair. The average mobile person with a walker should be able to get from the parking area to the overlook without much difficulty. The view from the overlook is great. The spillway has a significant drop which makes for a picturesque waterfall-like cascade. There is an adjacent fish ladder that was quite a project when it was constructed 2011 - 2012. From the overlook, there is a gravel-top downward incline that goes to a much narrower trail that leads to the historic Wiswall Falls Mill Site, fishing spots along the river, and trails in the adjacent John Hatch Park to the east. For its ease of accessibility, scenic beauty, proximity to several nearby attractions all in one stop, I rate Wiswall Dam at 5.0 and can recommend a visit to the dam to mobile people of all abilities.
