We spend a relaxing few hours aboard this ship after boarding in Weirs Beach. It was a wonderful way to explore Lake Winnipesaukee and learn the history of the area. The lake is huge (largest in New Hampshire) with islands in it that people live on. We had a couple of mimosas that were pretty good. The crew did a great job of announcing what we were seeing as we sailed along the lake. It does get pretty chilly as you tour the lake so bring a jacket to fully enjoy the gorgeous views both along the coast line of the lake and the islands in the lake. My wife and I took the harbor cruise and thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty of room on the boat to move around. Captain Eric was great at narrating the tour and providing insight to the history of the area. Planning to take one of the upstream river tours in the fall.See more..

We did a midweek 3:30-5 pm cruise on the Gundalow and it was a fantastic experience. We were using it as a chance for 3 families to meet up after a long time and has kids varying from 2.5-9 years old and they ALL had a fabulous time. Kids under 8 have to wear a life jacket the whole time (they provide as needed) and then they did a great job engaging the kids in the group to help with the main sheet aka main sail row. Great summary of the local geographic features, brief history of the style of boat & it’s uses in the area and overall a beautiful ride. Super friendly team and highly suggest!See more..
A overcast day with a bit of rain. Not long out of the harbour we came across a large sunfish and the boat was skilfully manourvered so that we got a close up view of this large and strange fish. We then motored out to the area were whales are apt to be. Our first sighting was a brief glimpse of a finwhale which then vanished. However we then came across a number of humpbacks, 7 of them in one group. They were not feeding but loading about on the surface and slowly moving along. We also saw them slepping the water with flippers but some distance away. During the trip also saw a number of different seabird species. Crew were knowledgeable and helpful. Snacks and drinks on on board including some alcoholic. I tried hard Meltzer for the first time and decided I did not like it! Quite a run out to the area where whales are. Over one and a half hours each way so a long day. Also cold at this time of year so take plenty of layers.See more..

Visited here midweek. It was a great day to be on the water. The staff made sure everyone was enjoying the ride. I sat up on deck and enjoyed the sunshine and breeze. The captain narrated but not so much as to be distracting. Just gave some interesting facts and history of some things that we were seeing. I would recommend and return. See more..
We are so glad that we went with this whale watching group. The smaller boat gave us a much more up close and part of the action feel. Our captain on the boat was very knowledgeable and committed to our seeing and encountering all the ocean had to offer. We did not just drive by the dolphins and seals, we stopped to watch them as the captain explained all about them to us. Even if we had not seen any whales the boat ride itself was a fun adventure. Nice museum to tour while waiting for your train to go to the summit. Our brake man / tour guide was John. Very knowledgeable with facts about Mt Washington & the cog railway and shared some humorous stories too. Took rider questions. Dress for cold temps on top of summit, even if it’s warm at the base before you leave.See more..
Captain Jim Flanders takes you out to pull traps, measure and band lobsters. You leave with a lobster to eat and can buy additional lobsters at a very reasonable cost. We had a blast. Highly recommend this adventure.See more..

Captain Tom and his crew (Heather and Luke) were terrific! Finding the harbor was easy, parking was plentiful and reasonable ($5), and the boat was spotless! The crew helped passengers on/off the boat and clearly were a well practiced team when it came to docking and departing from port. Not only was Tom a seasoned Captain, he was an excellent narrator sharing many fascinating facts about The Island’s history. It was a very enjoyable trip and something I would highly recommend!See more..
We had a great day haddock fishing. Captain Sam and crew were very motivated to get us fish. We made our limit, fish was cleaned and bagged for us. Boat was roomy and comfortable, i would highly recommend a trip with Captain Sam on the Kraken!See more..
