  1. 4.5 Merrimack Premium Oulets (532 reviews)
    - Few Shoppers and Empty Stores BUT...
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Speciality & Gift Shops • Factory Outlets • Shopping Malls
    Merrimack Premium Oulets image
...the sales staff at all the stores were happy to see anyone! This was our 2nd visit to Merrimack Premium Outlets and it was done after a disappointing visit to Kittery, Maine...Maine was not the let down, it was all about Covid, that has forced reaclosures of some outlet stores, which has created a "ghost town" feel and gloom for the area, even in the midst of Autumn and turning colors. After an hour driving through Kittery's strip mall outlets, we decided to drive the 1 1/2 to New Hampshire's Merrimack. While the Merrimack Outlets are experiencing the same drop off in business and tourism, as the shipper, your "energy" is different in a self contained complex,. My wife and I were glad to have made "the trek" as we found some good purchases for upcoming birthdays and the holidays...New Hampshire has no sales tax on clothing purchases. Our only problem, needing a new piece of luggage, fortunately, there were more than enough options right there at Merrimack! See more..

This is a good shopping center in Nashua, NH. This is situated right on the NH side of the NH/MA border, about 36 miles from Boston. It a Simon mall – two levels construction. The shopping here is Tax Free. Going to this mall is an enjoyment while shopping and eating. . Almost everything the shopper thinks is available here – there is Target, Macy’s, Apple Store, sports stores, a many stores for clothes, electronics, a food court, etc. The food court has Chinese options, Burger Kings, Taco Bell. There is Auntie Anne’s, Star Bucks, Subway. There is a lot of empty space inside where some arrangement for visitor’s relaxation could be arrangement. Our visit was for purchase of Apple I-Phone and few other items like clothing and fashion wear. Good visiting this mall for a pleasant shopping experience. See more..

    Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
    Lilac Mall image
It's rapidly failing, sadly. It once had a bookstore, record shop, food court, movie theater, Sears, electronics, two magnet stores. Now that the other end of town is sporting two huge malls, side by side, I don't see much there, except Hannaford's, which is it's own store, further up the concourse. I think the Mall has outlived its sell-by date. See more..

  14. 4.0 The Crossings (2 reviews)
    - MALL WITH GREAT RESTAURANTS & MOVIE THEATERS + GOOD STORES
    Spent 2-3 hours Shopping Malls
    The Crossings image
The Crossings mall is conveniently located just off the Spaulding Turnpike /NH Route 16/US Route 4. It is adjacent to The Mall at Fox Run which is accessed from nearby Woodbury Avenue or the connector roadway in the rear of the stores at The Crossings.. The biggest draw for vacationers would be the five restaurants and Regal Stadium 15 & RPX Cinemas with over a dozen movies playing on any given date. Restaurants include LongHorn Steakhouse, IHOP Restaurant, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Cold Stone Creamery, and McDonald’s. LongHorn Steakhouse and Chipotle Mexican Grill are the best; however, even the IHOP and McDonald’s are above average. One can get good food in any of the restaurants here. Retail stores include Trader Joe’s, Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Old Navy, Kohl’s, Michaels, Dicks Sporting Goods, Five Below, Jared Galleria of Jewelry, Kitchen & Company, Staples, Toys R Us, Babies R Us, and ULTA Beauty. A Pet Smart store is under construction. And, when one is done shopping here, there is a connector road past the cinemas that leads to The Mall at Fox Run for even more tax-free shopping. On my most-recent visit, I ate at LongHorn Steakhouse and had a fabulous filet mignon dinner. i rate the mall and its attractions at 4.0. I recommend a visit to The Crossings rain or shine. 15. 3.5 Salem Park Plaza (2 reviews)
    - MALL WITH A TWO-STORY BARNES & NOBLE
    Shopping Malls
    Salem Park Plaza image
Salem Park Plaza is a mid-sized strip mall near the intersection of South Broadway and Veterans Memorial Highway. It’s around the corner from MaryAnn’s Diner. It’s one of many small and mid-sized malls in Salem. Businesses include T-Mobile, Barnes & Noble, Supercuts, Findeisen's Ice Cream, and an enclosed Bank of American ATM. Findeisen's Ice Cream was closed for the season. Our visit to this mall occurred during several days in the Salem area around New Year’s Day. We spent well over an hour in Barnes & Noble. There were a lot of books and seasonal items on sale. All the Christmas merchandise was 50% off. We’ll go back another time after Findeisen's Ice Cream reopens. For the presence of Barnes & Noble and its proximity to dining and other shopping, we rate Salem Park Plaza at 3.50. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..

  17. 4.0 Colby Corner (1 review)
    - GOOD SMALL-TOWN SHOPPING & DINING PLAZA
    Shopping Malls
    Colby Corner image
Heading for the new Tuscan Village in Salem, I stopped at Colby Corner first for shopping and lunch. I shopped at Treasures Hallmark, a Gold Crown store, with all the Hallmark merchandise and a good amount of gift and souvenir items from other brands. Next, I shopped at Treasures Clothing, a sister store to Treasures Hallmark. It had a lot of tops and bags. Dining options included Commodore Grill, Cosmos Pizza, Golden Leaf Chinese Restaurant, Thrive Juice Bar, and Dunkin’. After shopping, I had a good cheeseburger for lunch at Cosmos Pizza. Other businesses included J & B Butcher, A Cut Beyond, Bank of America, and Hampstead Dry Cleaners. There was also a United States Post Office. And, on the way back from Salem, I got a good iced coffee at the drive-thru at Dunkin’. For a small unincorporated community of about 2.000 people, East Hampstead had a good-sized shopping and dining plaza with a good variety of businesses. With most restaurants and businesses highly-rated, I rate Colby Corner at 4.50 and can recommend a visit for shopping and dining. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. 19. 4.0 Stateline Plaza (1 review)
    - PLAZA WITH A VARIETY OF BUSINESSES & GOOD RESTAURANTS
    Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
    Stateline Plaza image
In Plaistow on a shopping trip, I stopped by Stateline Plaza which on the state line between Plaistow, NH and Haverhill, MA. I wanted to see what the TJ Maxx there had and to check out the Hawaiian Isle Restaurant which turned out to be a Chinese Restaurant. Hawaiian Isle Restaurant checked out favorably. It had an extensive menu typical of Chinese restaurant – complete with a long list of Lunch Combo Plate Specials in the $6.00 - $7.00 range. Other businesses included Panera Bread, Shaw’s, GameStop, Petco, CVS, Party City, Magic Touch Dry Cleaners, Mattress Firm, Great Clips, and T-Mobile. On the roadway into Stateline Plaza, there are other businesses that are over the state line in Haverhill. It’s not clear if they are part of Stateline Plaza. Heav’nly Donuts is one of them. I’ve had their donuts. They’re delicious. Other businesses along the perimeter include Steve’s House of Pizza, Fergie’s Barber Shop, and Grande Mexico. For the variety of stores and dining options, I rate Stateline Plaza at 4.0. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  20. 4.0 Epsom Shoppes (1 review)
    - SMALL SHOPPING PLAZA WITH A VARIETY OF BUSINESSES
Spent < 1 hour Shopping Malls
    Epsom Shoppes image
The Epsom Shoppes hold Epsom House of Pizza, Dollar General, Tactical Tabletop Gaming, Granite Image, His & Hers Hair Shop, Flowers for All Seasons, H&R Block, and Epsom Town Offices. On my visit, I got a great meatball sub from Epsom House of Pizza. I also stopped in at Tactical Tabletop Gaming to see what that was about. It sold games such as chess and hosted events for playing many strategy games such as Warhammer. I watched a Warhammer game in progress. It was interesting. Although small, the Epsom Shoppes offer travelers a general merchandise retailer, an entertainment venue, a service business, and a dining option all in one place. All were good businesses. Consequently, I rate Epsom Shoppes at 4.25. The reason for the delay in submitting this review was due to a months-long loss of my ability to post photos with my reviews. 21. 4.0 Plaistow Center (1 review)
    - SHOPPING PLAZA WITH RETAIL, RESTAURANTS, & AN ALDI
    Shopping Malls
    Plaistow Center image
Visiting in Plaistow for a few days, I went to Plaistow Center to shop after lunch nearby at Chang Long in Plaistow Commons. Plaistow Center is shopping plaza that is spread out in three separate buildings, one of which is in an L-shape. It has good restaurants, retail stores, and services businesses. Whenever I go to Plaistow, this shopping center is always on my itinerary. The main retailers include Dollar Tree, ALDI, and Savers. They are in the section furthest from Route 125. PetSmart and Papa Gino’s are in another section on one side of the driveway that leads to the back section. A third section parallel to Route 125 holds Sushi Time Supercuts, GNC, and Lens Doctors. In the section closest to Route 125 are Moe’s Southwest Grill, Walgreens, Foods Plus, and Cigars, Etc. Foods Plus is a big convenience store with snacks, food, cigarettes, craft beer, beer kegs, liquor, and sundries. It’s always doing a brisk business partly because a lot of people from nearby Massachusetts communities, such as Haverhill, shop there to get the lower prices in NH. On my most-recent trip, I made my usual rounds. My Dollar Trees in Somersworth and Portsmouth were out of stock on a couple of items I wanted. So was the one here. The ALDI here in Plaistow provided my introduction to the ALDI grocery store chain. Even though ALDI came to where I live in Dover, I still like going to this one. On this trip, I picked up a jar of their roasted unsalted peanuts for $1.89. From what I’ve seen in the two years I've shopped there, ALDi’s prices are always lower than the competitors’ prices. And, at Savers, it was a 50% off day on summer clothes and other items. For the budget and bargain prices at the retailers and the restaurants here, I rate the Plaistow Center at 4.0 and recommend a visit, especially for shopping at ALDI. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  22. 4.0 Plaistow Commons (1 review)
    - STRIP MALL WITH GREAT RESTAURANTS & SEVERAL RETAIL & SERVICES BUSINESSES
    Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
Plaistow Commons is a strip shopping plaza in the commercial shopping and dining district along NH Route 125. It has two great restaurants, an excellent ice cream shop, a sandwich shop, and several retail and services businesses. The two restaurants are Chang Long and The Early Bird Café. I’ve eaten at Chang Long before and ate there again on this trip. Stillwell’s Ice Cream has a shop there as does Moe's Italian Sandwiches. I’ve enjoyed ice cream at another of Stillwell’s locations before. There are also two specialty shops for crafters: YarnSong for knitting and crocheting supplies and D & D Sewing & Quilt Shop which sells supplies and Pfaff sewing machines which they also service. My visit here had three purposes: 1) To have lunch at Chang Long again; 2) To scout out The Early Bird Café; and, 3) To see what YarnSong was all about. The Early Bird Café checked out favorably as did YarnSong, a very nice shop. Another specialty shop I saw was Eric’s Solid Oak Amish Furniture. The word Amish, paired with furniture, spells handcrafted and quality workmanship. At a future date, when I have more time, I plan to visit this shop. Rook’s Barber Shop, Billy’s Nail & Spa, and Invidia Salon offered services for men and women. For the presence of several great local restaurants with excellent food and a number of specialty shops, I rate Plaistow Commons at 4.25. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. 23. 3.0 Epping Crossing (1 review)
    - SHOPPING & LUNCH AT EPPING CROSSING
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Shopping Malls
    Epping Crossing image
In Epping for an afternoon of shopping, Epping Crossing was one of several shopping centers I went to. The two draws for me there were Walmart for some incidentals and the Subway for lunch. Overall, Epping Crossing is large for all the ground it occupies. Lowe’s and Walmart, the two anchor stores, are very large with huge parking lots. There were good dining options there and nearby. Epping Crossing restaurants include China Jade, and Boone’s Thai Kitchen in a strip mall area for smaller stores, Applebee’s facing Rt. 125, and Subway just inside Walmart’s entryway. T-Mobile, SuperCuts, and Game Stop occupied the other storefronts in the strip mall. There was also a stand-alone TD Bank there. I rate Epping Crossing at 3.50. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  24. 4.0 Rockingham Plaza (1 review)
    - ONE OF SALEM’S LARGER MALLS
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Shopping Malls
    Rockingham Plaza image
Visiting in Salem for several days on either side of New Year’s Day, we shopped a lot. Salem has many small and mid-sized malls in addition to very large The Mall at Rockingham Park. From what we saw, we’d say that Rockingham Plaza was the second largest mall in operation in Salem at the time of our visit. There’s a question on how big the shopping area of the Tuscan Village will be when it’s fully open. The roadway to that was blockaded when we were in Salem, so we couldn’t go there. For stores, Rockingham Plaza has Kohl’s, Christmas Tree Shops, Bob’s Stores, Bob’s Discount Furniture, TJ Maxx, Petco, NH Liquor Store, Verizon Wireless, and GameStop. Dining options include Papa Gino’s and Panera Bread. For services, there’s a Great Clips. During our visit, we shopped at Kohl’s. I shopped several departments ~ Apt. 9 and Lands' End to name some. On a future trip, we’ll shop Christmas Tree Shops, TJ Maxx, and Petco. And, I'd like to eat at Panera Bread. We rate Rockingham Plaza at 4.0 and recommend a visit. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  25. 4.0 Parkman Brook Shopping Center (1 review)
    - SHOPPING CENTER WITH A BOOTLEGGERS, DINING & SERVICES
    Shopping Malls
    Parkman Brook Shopping Center image
Stratham has several strip malls that offer shopping and dining. Parkman Brook Shopping Center is one and is located next to Kings Highway Plaza. One can shop and dine in the two adjacent malls via a connector roadway. For dining, Parkman Brook Shopping Center has a Chipotle Mexican Grill and a Starbucks, two popular restaurants. The main attraction for shopping at Parkman Brook Shopping Center is Bootleggers. Shopping at that store was my reason for going there. At the time of my visit, Bootleggers was having a huge Boot Sale with great markdowns. Other businesses of interest to travelers are: - Pet Life for pet supplies and pet grooming - Postal Center USA for shipping vacation purchases home or gifts to others - Cleary Cleaners for a soiled garment requiring dry cleaning during the trip - Staples for copy or fax service, office supplies, or service on a computer - Planet Fitness Dunkin’ and a location of the 100 Grill are nearby across the street in another small mall. For its shopping and dining, its proximity to other shopping, services, and dining, and convenient location on Rt. 108 and very close to Rt. 101, I rate Parkman Brook Shopping Center at 4.25. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  26. 4.0 The Village Shoppes at Salzburg Square (1 review)
    - WELCOME CHANGE FROM MALL SHOPPING
    Shopping Malls
The Village Shoppes at Salzburg Square image
Returning from lunch at Pickity Place in Mason, I stopped by The Village Shoppes at Salzburg Square en route home. I'd passed this shopping village dozens of times. It was high time I went there. As the name suggests, The Village Shoppes at Salzburg Square are in a quaint Old World Bavarian village setting. In all, I counted 15 businesses. The shopping area had stores with everything from children’s toys in two stores and home goods to fashions and gifts, plus a full-service spa and an upscale Mexican restaurant. Several stores stood out. Enchanted Lace had window and table lace. Toys & Fun sold quality toys, games, books, baby gifts, and European candies. Another Chance was a consignment shop. The Gift Shoppe featured gifts, fine and costume jewelry, children’s books and toys, greeting cards, and more. The restaurant was El Arroyo Mexican Restaurant. I especially liked The Gift Shoppe. I rate The Village Shoppes at Salzburg Square at 4.25 as shopping there was a welcome break from the ho-hum, cookie-cutter malls. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. 27. 4.0 Salem Plaza (1 review)
    - MID-SIZED SHOPPING PLAZA WITH THREE LARGE STORES
    Shopping Malls
    Salem Plaza image
In Salem for several days on both sides of New Year’s Day, we did a lot of shopping because Salem is a town with very many shopping malls, strip malls, and shopping plazas. Salem Plaza is a mid-sized strip mall with three large stores: a combined Marshalls/Home Goods, Market Basket, and Bed Bath & Beyond. There’s also a Citizens Bank with an ATM. We stopped Market Basket first for a few grocery items. This Market Basket has the new concept Market’s Kitchen that features ready-to-eat foods or take-home meals such as wraps, hot and cold subs, paninis, soups, salads, chicken wings, 19” pizzas and individual slices of pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, fried chicken, and more. I’ve had pizza slices and foods from the Market’s Kitchen section of other Market Basket stores. Everything has always been fresh and very good. This was the first time we’d seen a combined Marshalls/Home Goods store. The store was quite large. As with most Marshalls stores, there was a large selection of clothes in missy sizes. There was a water-resistant Under Armour Coldgear Reactor Perpetual 3-in-1 Hooded Jacket of interest; however, at $79.99, I thought it was quite pricey. Another item of interest was a mid-weight sweatshirt-type Mondetta Cropped Full-Zip Hoodie Jacket marked down to $10.00, but it was a little too cropped for my liking as it hit me only about 1” below the waist. Although there are only three stores here, they’re large, can provide hours of shopping, and carry high-quality merchandise. Another factor is the proximity to an unidentified adjacent shopping plaza with a connector roadway and the Rockingham Plaza diagonally across the road. We rate Salem Plaza at 4.0 and recommend a visit to this and Annie’s Hallmark in the unidentified adjacent shopping plaza. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  28. 4.0 Kings Highway Plaza (1 review)
    - SHOPPING PLAZA WITH A WIDE VARIETY OF DINING OPTIONS
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Shopping Malls
    Kings Highway Plaza image
Shopping in Stratham, we stopped at the Kings Highway Plaza for Ocean State Job Lot. I go there to get the Thompson’s Decaffeinated Tea that only Ocean State Job Lot sells in my area. I like the price and the full-bodied taste which I attribute to quality and the company’s special decaffeination process. While there, we noted other stores that included Wonderland Thrift Shop and Auto Zone Auto Parts. TD Bank had an office and ATM there. Rock Star Nails had a salon. Kings Highway Plaza was mostly a dining mall. Restaurants included Tailgate Tavern, Mama Lena’s Pizzeria, Jade Palace, and Burger King. All are rated at least "good" if not "very good" on various opinion-sharing sites. After concluding our shopping for the day, we stopped by the drive-thru at Burger King for late lunches of Diet Cokes, French fries, and Whopper Juniors. We enjoyed our meals back at the house. On our next trip down that way, we’ll stop by Wonderland Thrift Shop to see what interesting things it holds. We like to shop the second-hand stores for housewares and home décor. We’ve also put the Tailgate Tavern on our Travel To-Do List. Because of the mix of stores and the variety of dining options, we rate Kings Highway Plaza at 4.0. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  29. 3.0 419 South Broadway (1 review)
    - U-SHAPED SHOPPING PLAZA WITH TWO BUSINESSES OF INTEREST TO TRAVELERS
    Shopping Malls
    419 South Broadway image
Salem has many malls, strip malls, and shopping plazas. 419 South Broadway is one of the smaller shopping plazas. The primary draws here for travelers are Balducci’s Wood Fired Pizza for dining and Bull Moose for shopping. Other businesses include a Benjamin Moore Paint Store, a private academy, and a play school. Our stop here was for shopping at Bull Moose, an independent retailer of music, movies, books, and toys. It has good prices. During our stop here, were saw a number of people coming and going from Balducci’s just in the few minutes we were outside. And, of course, Bull Moose was quite busy. For the quality of the businesses here, we rate 419 South Broadway above average at 3.50. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  30. 3.0 Seacoast Shopping Center (1 review)
    - 9-STORE MALL CLOSE TO OTHER MALLS
    Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
    Seacoast Shopping Center image
Seabrook is a town with a lot of shopping malls. It’s a state line town that attracts out-of-state shoppers because New Hampshire offers tax-free shopping. Seacoast Shopping Center is a relatively small L-shaped mall with nine stores. It is in close proximity to other malls in Seabrook – Southgate Plaza and Seabrook Crossing. The main stores of interest to travelers in this mall would be Bath & Body Works, Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Store, and Ocean State Job Lot which offers a wide variety of discounted and closeout items at great prices. For dining, there’s the popular Clemento’s Pizza & Brew. A branch of TD Bank, a Taco Bell, and Jimmy K’s Kitchen are on adjacent pads out on Lafayette Road. I've eaten at Jimmy K's Kitchen. The food there is very good. Cardi’s Furniture and Ashley Homestore also have stores there. On my trip to Seacoast Shopping Center, I shopped at Bath & Body Works where I shopped the Buy 3, Get 3 Free on Select Items Sale. Then, I shopped Ocean State Job Lot where I got boxes of Loyd Ginger Tea with Citrus Fruits and Bigelow Lemon & Ginger Caffeine Free Herbal Tea with Probiotics – two teas I really like. I also picked up a Reg. $4.99 1 lb. bag of Poindexter Nut Co. Walnuts on sale at $3.99. I rate Seacoast Shopping Center at an above-average 3.50. Although relatively small, it has good stores. The reason for the delay in submitting this review was due to a months-long loss of my ability to post photos with my reviews. If you found this review useful, please click HELPFUL. See more..
  31. 3.0 Salem Village (1 review)
    - SMALL SHOPPING PLAZA WITH A VARIETY OF BUSINESSES
    Shopping Malls
After visiting in Methuen, I came upon Salem Village when I was passing through Salem. I stopped to see what stores were there. First, I shopped Salem Village Market which carried a wide variety of grocery items plus beer, wine, and tobacco products. In the dairy section, I liked some of the cheeses. This was my first stop at the Loyal Companion store there. It had many different types of dog and cat food. One brand of canned cat food I saw was Fussie Cat Premium Tuna with Clams in Aspic. In aspic, no less! I also saw the expected bowls and feeders, collars and leashes, cuddle caves, and cat scratchers. There were dozens of toys for dogs but not that many for cats. Other businesses at Salem Village include AutoZone, Sherwin–Williams, Ten Natural Nails, and Clip & Shear. There was one dining option: Stachey's Olde-Time Pizzeria. I stopped in to check it out for possible future reference. It was a typical pizzeria. It offered pizza, calzones, subs, salads, sides, and dinners. From the set-up, it was ore a take-out place than a dine-in restaurant. I rate Salem Village at 3.50 and can recommend a visit. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  32. 4.0 Somersworth Plaza (1 review)
    - SMALLER SHOPPING PLAZA WITH SOME GREAT BUSINESSES
    Shopping Malls
Somersworth Plaza is the smaller o two major shopping centers in Somersworth. It’s near the downtown area. Three highly-rated businesses are in this plaza. They include Stripe Nine Brewing Co., the gaming and collectibles store Toys from the Attic, and Great Falls Cleaners. Happy City One Restaurant is a good Chinese take-out place also in the plaza as are HR Block and Fraternal Order of Eagles. Two of the mall’s larger stores closed. The NH Liquor & Wine Outlet moved to a historic building on Rt. 9 / High Street in 2019. The Lucky Supermarket, an Asian market, closed in July 2019. On my most-recent visit, I shopped at Toys from the Attic. Besides games and collectibles, there’s a wide variety of items for sale, including music CD’s. I’ve had take-out from Happy City One Restaurant and have found it to be good. For what is there now, I rate Somersworth Plaza at 4.0. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. 33. 4.0 Lafayette Crossing (1 review)
    - GOOD SHOPPING PLAZA WITH DINING & AN L.L. BEAN OUTLET
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Shopping Malls
    Lafayette Crossing image
Shopping along US 1 from Portsmouth to Seabrook, I stopped in at Lafayette Crossing. My main destination there was the L.L. Bean Outlet to shop the Winter Sale with 40% to 50% off. As I entered the store, I passed several families with youngsters carrying several bags full of purchases. On this trip, I drove around the shopping plaza to see all the stores and other businesses that included a UPS Store, Shaw’s Supermarket, Marshalls, and Home Depot, plus Workout Anytime, Sport Clips Haircuts, Granite State Growler Tours, and Luv 2 Play, an indoor playground. For dining, the shopping plaza had The Barley House, featuring fresh craft beer and a tavern menu with many signature dishes. This a second location for The Barley House. The original is in Concord, NH. I rate Lafayette Crossing at 4.0. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  34. 3.0 Stateline Shopping Center (1 review)
    - SMALL SHOPPING CENTER WITH AN ALDI
Saturday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM Shopping Malls
    Stateline Shopping Center image
Stateline Shopping Center is one of many small and medium malls in Salem. It has three main businesses of interest to travelers: Lowe’s, ALDI, and Santander Bank. On my visit here, I shopped at ALDI which has great prices because of its marketing concept which is warehouse style. Many items are put out on palettes to keep down labor costs. There are certain items I buy at ALDI. On this fill-in trip, I went to pick up a package of the L’Oven Fresh Bagels at $1.49 and a 1 lb. package of Countryside Creamery Unsalted Sweet Cream Butter Quarters at $1.97. Each item was at least $1.00 less than at the regular supermarkets; and, the ALDI quality is just as good. Heading down one aisle, packages of non-GMO organic pastas caught my eye. The 1lb. boxes of whole wheat spaghetti and linguine were just 99 cents. Elsewhere that would sell for $2.99 or more. A certain online retailer of everything gets $8.40 for a 2-pack of 1 lb. boxes. Overall, I rate Stateline Shopping Center itself at 3.25. I recommend a visit here to shop at ALDI. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  35. 4.0 Exeter Commons (1 review)
    - STRIP MALL WITH THREE GOOD RESTAURANTS & SHOPPING
    Shopping Malls
    Exeter Commons image
Exeter Commons was one of my stops on a daytrip. For shopping, Exeter Commons had Dollar Tree, On the Vine Marketplace, and Rite Aid. Dollar Tree is great for travelers to get snacks and beverages, replacement toiletries mid-trip, forgotten items, and other incidentals. On the Vine Marketplace can best be described as a gourmet grocery store with a butcher shop, local fresh produce, and a bakery. The main draw here for travelers is the dining options that include Margarita’s Mexican Restaurant, Moe’s Italian Sandwiches of Exeter, NH, and New Pine Garden Chinese Restaurant. My main purpose in going there was to shop at Dollar Tree for an item that was sold out at the other Dollar Tree stores closer to Dover where I live. Afterwards, I went into New Pine Garden Chinese Restaurant for a takeout menu and a look around. The décor was above average for attractiveness. I noticed that the wall behind the cash register had a lot of “Best of the Best” awards hanging there. I’ll be returning to get takeout as I'm not dining in much during the COVID-19 time. I rate Exeter Commons at 4.25. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
  36. 4.0 Fort Eddy Plaza (1 review)
    - SHOPPING PLAZA CLOSE TO ROUTES I-93 & I-393
    Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
    Fort Eddy Plaza image
This shopping plaza is conveniently located off Exit 14 of Route I-93 and near the junction Route I-393/US Route 202. It has service businesses, stores and restaurants. The anchor store is Books-A-Million which carries books for the whole family. There’s a large children’s section. One will also find games, puzzles, plush characters, and toys throughout the store. There is a smaller section with books for teens. On my visit this time, I shopped at Books-A-Million where I got two nice books at deep discounts. Other stores of interest to travelers include GameStop, Staples, GNC, Eastern Mountain Sports for outdoor gear, Rite Aid for forgotten or used-up toiletries, OTC medicines, and first aid items. The Shaw’s Supermarket is not only good for snacks and beverages, but it also has a Citizens Bank ATM inside for emergency or extra cash. There’s a Supercuts where one can get a quick haircut. There are two eateries - Five Guys Burgers & Fries and Moritomo Japanese Restaurant. Fort Eddy Plaza is across from the L.L. Bean Outlet and Uno Pizzeria & Grill. The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center is about 2 miles away. I rate the Fort Eddy Plaza at 4.50 for its convenient location with easy access to highways and the variety of businesses there.
