  5. 4.5 Walpole Artisans Cooperative (8 reviews)
    - Excellent Artistry
Sunday: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM Art Galleries
My Husband and I were exploring Walpole -- a clerk at LA Burdicks recommended we check out the Artisans Cooperative and we are so glad we did. Beautiful work and reasonably priced. They had jewelry, hand knits and weaves, turned wooden bowls with an intricate basket/cut out pattern. Beautiful hand drawn animals on cards -- I especially fell in love with the bunnies. And gorgeous hand made harps. The artisan volunteer for the day was the bunny maker and was very patient, informative and friendly. We will definitely stop in again if we are in the area. See more..

The current exhibit, the Biennial Juried exhibition, offers a varied exhibition which will appeal to 2D,3D art lovers. I belive this is the best presentation of contemporary art I have seen at this location in several years. The small but valuable gallery is very welcoming as well. Drop by and check it out! 13. 5.0 Library Arts Center (2 reviews)
    - Great events!
    Art Galleries
The Library Arts Center in Newport NH is a rare find. It's attached to back of the Richards Free Library so you can easily miss it when you're driving by. But look closely, there is usually a sign at the end of the library driveway that will tell you what's going on at the Center. I was here in July for the presentation about doll houses given by a local woman. This was the culmination of an exhibit of doll houses that had been made or renovated by her. The houses were for sale and proceeds went to the library. The Center holds many art exhibits from paintings to quilts. During the Christmas season, it has a Christmas shop with handmade items from local artists and crafts people. It also offers different types of art classes for kids and adults. Concerts by local musicians. There is something going on all year long! Check out libraryartscenter.org for the calendar of events. See more..

    - What a great time

Went here with my extended family for my wife's birthday present. The staff took the time to educate us on glass blowing. We made our own tumbler glass in a step by step closely supervised process. There are beautiful creations in the gallery that you can buy as well. This is not a place for young children due to the dangers of the furnaces and kilns. But for a family or friends to do something different, this is a great place to do it. See more..
  17. 5.0 The Sandy Martin Gallery (1 review)
    - A nice experience!
    Art Galleries
    The Sandy Martin Gallery image
I can't believe I'm the first one to post a review about this artist-owned gallery and very talented artist. Sandy Martin's paintings are beautiful. She studied in Paris and NYC and has a fascinating history (google it). Most of her works are oils and watercolors, and a lot of it is Impressionist imagery. Since I'm a big fan of Impressionism, I was greatly impressed (pun intended) by her work. She also displays some of her photography. She was in the shop when I visited and was wonderful to talk to.
