We are vineyard affectionados from Pennsylvania and visited this vineyard along with our daughter and her boyfriend who are living in Exeter, New Hampshire. The wines were excellent, the cheese plate complimented them and most of all, the hosts were among the best as they were super-friendly and accommodating. The tasting center and vineyards were beautiful. They were not doing tours at the time but we were more interested in the tastings. This visit was a pleasant surprise and we strongly recommend that you put this winery/vineyard on your list! See more..

  10. 5.0 Black Bear Vineyard (40 reviews)
    - Fun Family Run Vineyard
Spent 1-2 hours Wineries & Vineyards
    Black Bear Vineyard image
Wonderful small family run vineyard. It's not California, or New York, or anything you'd really recognize, it's truly a family run place with heart. If you have an actual interest in wine making, or grape growing, or any of the processes in between, the owners and staff are very forthcoming with information about their processes. We were here for their harvest weekend - a fun outdoor event to celebrate the wine making season. There was live music and food as well as games and picnic tables set up. The wine was good, the atmosphere was good, I would come back here again! See more..
  11. 4.5 Jewell Towne Vineyards (34 reviews)
    - special place still
    Saturday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Wineries & Vineyards
    Jewell Towne Vineyards image
Jewell Towne claims to be the oldest-established in NH; though I think Candia beats them by a year. Pete Oldak has something special going on here in spite of the challenging viticultural conditions, and there's a really great range of hybrid-derived wines on offer to sample; it's of huge interest to wine buffs used to visiting European wineries where hybrids are rarely seen these days and are even losing out to hardier viniferas even in England. Memorable visit, thanks Pete. See more..
  12. 4.5 Sweet Baby Vineyard (28 reviews)
    - Peaceful, amazing visit
Spent 1-2 hours Wineries & Vineyards
    Sweet Baby Vineyard image
As others have remarked, the vineyard looks unassuming when you pass by, but it’s absolutely worth the stop. We were able to grab a seat in the gazebo where it was very peaceful and enjoyed the quiet, beautiful day while tasting eight different wines and snacking on their delicious cheese board. Their prices are very reasonable for the high quality you get. The staff at this family-owned vineyard is extremely nice and knowledgeable. We enjoyed their wines so much we purchased three cases (36 bottles) of different varieties to take home. Our favorites were the raspberry, apple, and the Niagara. We can’t recommend this vineyard enough! See more..
  13. 4.5 LaBelle Winery (24 reviews)
    - LABELLE WINERY’S SEACOAST RETAIL STORE
    Wineries & Vineyards
    LaBelle Winery image
LaBelle Winery’s Portsmouth location is a Seacoast Region retail outlet for the vineyard which is located in Amherst, NH. Relatively new to the wine-making scene in New Hampshire – under 20 years, LaBelle Winery has made a name for itself producing quality classic Old World-style wines like Chardonnay, Riesling, and Gewurztraminer, plus more contemporary wines like its Blue Alchemy, a blueberry port-style wine. On a dismal day in Portsmouth, I kept my activities indoors in the shops. LaBelle Winery was one of the first I visited. I browsed the wines and accessories. There were a lot of wire cork holders in many shapes and sizes. The one I liked most was an owl design. There was a $15.00 tote bag I admired. The design had a scene of Portsmouth. I rate this location of LaBelle Winery at 4.25 and recommend a visit. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..

    Averill House Vineyard image
This is a small family owned winery. The winery offers a tour with wine tasting, which includes bottling, corking and labeling a bottle of wine to take home. We had a great afternoon. Jan did a wonderful job, she was welcoming and knowledgeable. The wine tasting includes a choice of 4 wines. You can purchase additional flights. First you tour facility, then you bottle, cork and label a bottle of wine( predetermined type, ours was cabernet), then we chose to sit outside ( you can sit inside if you choose)and sample the selection which we ordered from a menu describing each wine includes a charcuterie board. We particularly liked the current and peach belle wine and purchased additional bottles. You can also listen to live entertainment, there was a singer there part of the time we were touring. Others who were not taking a tour could sit and have a glass of wine and listen to singer. Allow about hour and half. See more..

  18. 3.5 Candia Vineyards (10 reviews)
    - Best red wine I've tasted
    Wineries & Vineyards
    Candia Vineyards image
We were driving through NH on our way to Maine and did a random search for wineries. Candia Vineyards came up and I called to schedule a visit…for ten minutes later. While the owner seemed a bit irritated, he accommodated us just fine. When we arrived I realized why the irritation. It's not a typical winery but a private home w vineyard surrounding it. In the front yard under a tree was a pop up tent w a table and a cooler. The owner was very kind and entertained our many, wine-ignorant questions. I fell in love w the Frontenac and am looking forward to going back to get more soon. See more..

  20. 4.0 Poocham Hill Winery (9 reviews)
    - Small tasting room
    Saturday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Wineries & Vineyards
    Poocham Hill Winery image
Poocham Hill Winery wines are made from our own grapes. One of the first questions usually asked is what grapes we grow and visitors expect to hear something they are familiar with like Chardonnay or Cabernet. Most do not recognize the cold hearty varietals we grow. Our goal, from the start has been to make the best wine from the best grapes that will grow in our microclimate. When you taste our wine, you might find similarities with wines you like and are familiar with, but each of our wines is unique. Our wines pair well with different foods. We invite you to come and taste our wines. Each is an experience into itself. Our tasting room is both relaxing and inviting and you are sure to have a great time. We are open seasonally (June through October) or by appointment. See more..
  21. 4.5 Copper Beach Winery (5 reviews)
    - Amazing!
    Saturday: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Wineries & Vineyards
    Copper Beach Winery image
My wife and I came across this place randomly. We stopped in and were amazed we have been back numerous times. We love Lynn and what she does with the fruits she uses for the wine. She stays true too to NH and NE. I was little afraid of an all fruit wine but when I tasted her wine I was amazed. I love the crabapple, strawberry, blueberry, and the jalapeño wines. The blueberry is not sweet which you might think, it is just amazing! For fruit wines she really keeps them on the dry side. Give it a try. Definitely stop in you won’t regret. See more..

  25. 4.0 Newfound Lake Vineyards (1 review)
    - Italy in Bristol NH
Spent 1-2 hours Wineries & Vineyards
Newfound Lake Vineyards is at the top of a steep driveway to the side of the owners' home directly on the main road. The winery building reminds me of Italy! Tastefully done building with large bar. Some grapes used in the wine are grown on the property. Great stop while circling lovely Newfound Lake. Free tasting of 4 or 5 of their wines. Edelweiss is a dry white made from their own grapes - it was excellent!!!! Cranberry wine available using grapes from a specific cranberry bog in Mass. Blueberry wine made from local fruit is also available. I also enjoyed the Cabernet and left with a bottle of Edelweiss and a bottle of their Wicked Good Red which is a blend of Cabernet and Merlot (not on the tasting bar this day so I can't wait to try it). Paid $15 for one bottle and $18 for another. Woman doing the tastings was very informed about the wines. See more..
