...the sales staff at all the stores were happy to see anyone! This was our 2nd visit to Merrimack Premium Outlets and it was done after a disappointing visit to Kittery, Maine...Maine was not the let down, it was all about Covid, that has forced reaclosures of some outlet stores, which has created a "ghost town" feel and gloom for the area, even in the midst of Autumn and turning colors. After an hour driving through Kittery's strip mall outlets, we decided to drive the 1 1/2 to New Hampshire's Merrimack. While the Merrimack Outlets are experiencing the same drop off in business and tourism, as the shipper, your "energy" is different in a self contained complex,. My wife and I were glad to have made "the trek" as we found some good purchases for upcoming birthdays and the holidays...New Hampshire has no sales tax on clothing purchases. Our only problem, needing a new piece of luggage, fortunately, there were more than enough options right there at Merrimack!See more..

Who wants to pay $8 for jams or marinades? Not me. This is a great outlet with always some fantastic bargains. Some are 100% perfect just maybe overstocks, expiring soon. Some are oopsies (ie, product too thin, too thick, etc) but bottomline, pricing on both can't be beat compared to retail stores. Since moving from industrial park location to now Ridge Marketplace, much more foot traffic as there's a Mega Market Basket, Hobby Lobby, Petsmart among other stores here...and a Walmart supercenter next door. A+....worth a visit regularly for as inventory is always changing.See more..
Their homemade caramels are exquisite! I've never gotten any candy there that was not delicious. My husband swears by their homemade peanut butter cup. I understand Ava Marie just changed ownership and are moving from their quaint shop on Grove in Peterborough to a shopping strip. Parking was a bit tricky at their old shop but I loved going there. My wife and I have been coming to Pete's Stand since moving to Surry, NH, three years ago. This visit was our first one this year. Things are a bit different these days for two reasons. First, they have added an indoor section where you can buy refrigerated foods like local cheeses and other items. Secondly, because of Covid-19, buyers use small hand held baskets for produce, which have been pre-bagged. Of course, clients must social distance and use face coverings in accord with State and Federal guidance. I felt quite safe, even I have two Covid-19 risk factors. We bought plants and beet greens with small, very tender roots. Now is the time to "step up" and support our local agriculture. Now is more deserving than Pete's Stand.See more..

Loved getting my fresh organic milk and yogurts and at such a variety that I still can not find in the grocery store. Unfortunately as of August 28, 2015 the visitor center closed its doors for good as they combined to office locations into one. More information on the visitor center closing can be found on Stonyfield's own website, blog entry: when-one-door-closes-a-community-opens This closing makes Stonyfield an attraction for Trip Advisor no longer. I would love to see the visitor center reopen -- The grocery store has such horrid stock limitations having to give shelf space to all those other brands. Craft beer central in Wolfeboro, Beveridge offers a changing roster of 7 or 8 of the best, mostly New Hampshire and Maine craft beers on tap, and many more to take home. Seating for maybe 10 people, standing room for another half dozen, this small pub is suffused with good cheer radiating from hostess Lisa Beveridge (yes, that is her name) and, more often than not, the aroma of freshly baked beer-bread and Lisa's excellent stews and chili. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Hampshire Pewter and why they still do things "the old fashioned way".
