So hey the shop is not open for covid call or email. We almost didn't because the shop looked closed. Awesome time had by all 4 of us! Butch was a great guide. Stopped for lots of pictures he kept a watchful eye over us. This is one of the few companies that rent quads not those uyvs where someone is stuck as the passenger. 100 acres to explore woods trails rock trails water mud dust. It has it all! We will be back! And are already planning our snowmobile tour in the winter! Call these folks for a fun adventure!See more..

Not sure what the negative reviews are all about...my wife and I had an excellent introduction to whitewater rafting and kayaking with the help of this outfit's crew, who were very friendly and helpful. For the money paid, we felt it was an excellent value for 2 hours on the water, with instructions by a guide included. The whitewater section is short, but you get four runs...if anyone in your party hates it, they can sit out and wait for you. Perfect for first timers. We plan to bring our teenage kids with us next time, and I'll bring my fly rod next time (the same section of the river is also a fly fish only area).See more..

I was warmly greeted when I arrived with, “Hi, you must be our 10:00 reservation.” I was in my kayak within minutes of arriving and off to explore the lake. Before leaving the shore, an employee gave great advice on where to go, precautions to take, and most importantly how to find Becky’s Garden. I was also greeted upon my return and asked about my experience. Reasonable prices, helpful and friendly staff, and a clean, clear lake. I’ll definitely go back.See more..
This trip was way above the expectations that I had. I had never been kayaking before and my first experience was great. My family and I stayed at Wilgus State Park and set up a kayak trip through the ranger station. THe next day North Star showed up with a shuttle bus (little school bus) and brought us to their business. We signed waivers, got our life jackets and paddles and were escorted to the launch site. A review of the CT river would not be enough as you have to see this to experience the beauty of it. THe paddle was very easy and views breathtaking. We got out at the Wilgus State Park boat launch. THe crew from North Star picked up the canoes. THere was very little effort that we had to put in except to just relax and have fun. We are already planning another trip.See more..

As we drove up to Lake Winnipesauki from NY, I found SUPNH online and took a chance on renting stand up paddle boards for our vacation (that our teenagers wanted nothing to do with). I set up a 2-day rental. Chris did everything he said he would, dropping off and picking up at our convenience. He gave us everything we needed and within an hour the kids taught themselves. We found this place by chance, and are so glad we did. Margie was absolutely wonderful; very kind and patient with two fairly-new-to-kayaking kayakers. It was just Margie and the two of us, and we went to Harvey's Lake in East Barnet VT, just over the NH border. Margie showed us some paddling techniques, and shared a lot of the history of the lake as we kayaked around it (this lake was where Jacques Cousteau learned to dive-who knew?). Harvey's Lake is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for beginning kayakers; no crazy motorboats or jet skis to kick up a wake. Margie won't take people out on the lake if the wind is too strong, because she wants her clients to have a relaxing experience on the water. The trip includes a delicious lunch eaten at a picnic table by the lake. The best part? A loon popping up out of the water ten feet from my kayak! Mike Proulx is a ACA Level 2 kayak instructor with a fleet of nice boats that he will deliver to Clair’s Landing boat ramp. I was In need of time on the water and Mike set me up at the kayak launch site in short order and told me where I might find the loons. Had a great evening paddle and when you are done, just give Mike a call and he will come pick up the boat. He also provides lessons. Lake Massabesic is a water supply reservoir so there is no wading, swimming, etc. There is a great kayak launch. On your way back to Manchester stop at The Goldenrod Dinner for fantastic ice cream....make sure you paddle enough to burn the calories....a single scoop is huge.See more..
