We loved our visit to the forest! I loved reading about Madame Sherri’s life and seeing the remains of her castle, a very short walk from the parking area. If you have more time, there are additional hiking trails throughout the woods. The pond near the parking area is FULL of frogs and they are so fun to watch! See more..

I have visited this forest several times and I have to say it is one of my favorite places. Rarely, if ever, crowded, this place offers peace, quiet, tranquility. Sit and listen to the bubbling brook as dragonflies buzz around you. Hike up to the massive boulders left by melting glaciers. Admire the sun peeking through the leaves as you make your way along the rige trail. Hiking is easy and gradual, perfect for any age or ability. Enjoy the calmness this forest provides. See more..

    - Relaxing Day of Kayaking on Hubbard Pond
    State Parks • Forests
Hubbard Pond was much bigger than I expected. I had a great day of paddling and relaxing. I went in and out of the coves looking for nature sites. I was greeted by a heron right from the start. There were only a few other people out on the water other than our group. The road in was rough but not a problem. I didn't know that Hubbard Pond is part of Annett State Forest. See more..

Went here today and like every lately with all the rain it was a little muddy. We did not find the trail marked very well and ended up exiting to the road to get back to our car. See more..

    - Gentle Walk in the woods

Wanted to stretch our legs, and this was a great place. Slightly an uphill climb, but not strenuous for 70 year olds. Apex was a ledge view that showed exquisitely the surrounding area. Worth the effort. See more..
