2.2 mile hike on the service road
The parking lot at the top of the Cathedral Ledge is closed due to Covid. No one can use the service road and therefore we decided to use the service road and not the trail through the woods. 1.1 miles from the gate to the top. It took us 27 minutes up and 22 minutes down. The elevation difference is 564 ft. Some part of the service road is steep, but we saw families with small kids make it to the top. Since it’s a service road everything is paved and you can’t get lost. We heard from hikers who used the trail that they had to utilize their GPS because the trail was not marked well. The view from on top is fantastic and I can highly recommend to do it early in the day to skip the crowd. You can also find parking near the gate easily if you go early.

Cathedral Ledge
Short drive from North Conway. The road up isn't that long and this is worth a quick trip up while staying in North Conway. Nice view of the town from here. We could see our hotel from the top. Probably spent 15 minutes driving up and looking at the view. A lady was getting her ropes ready to rock climb here while we were there.
