We were 2 couples. Booked the tour in Ivalo. The day we booked tour, few hours before the scheduled time we got a call from the company and they rescheduled it for next night due to bad weather. But being tourist and limited time we did not trusted their word and went with another tour company the same night. That night it snowed and we did not see the lights. It was too late to realise the mistake, we should have trusted northern light riders. Next night we went them and saw the lights. Our guide made extra efforts for us. We saw the lights on two different spots. First was not too good. But the second spot blew our minds. Amazing experience with dancing green and red lights all over sky. It was a great experience! First of all, we had booked for 1th of February but because the sky was so cloudy the company changed the tour for the 2th of the month, which I found really responsible. On 2th the sky was so clear and we went with Ivan, our guide, to a 4.30 hours tour, instead of 3 that the programm was. We saw aurora at all places, but the 4th spot at the end of the tour was the best one and we will never forget it in our lives. We also had berry juice and cookies. We travelled as a group of 10 ( 6 adults and 4 kids) from LBA with Enter Air and whilst I had reservations about the travel each way the flights were great - good food, really well organised once you got off at Enontekio and straight onto a bus. We didn't have far to travel with our rep Kelly before we got to Suits and Boots, which even though was a little bit busy and small was pretty well organised. On to the actual winter wonderland which was fantastic! The food, the snow, the huskie rides, Santa, the reindeer.... Everything you could wish for to get you into the Christmas spirit. I would like to make a special mention to the rep Kelly who went above and beyond (despite feeling under the weather) to make sure my little girls day wasn't spoilt when she lost her boot in the snow! About a 25 - 30 minute drive from Saariselkä. Road conditions aren't bad in the winter unless a storm is coming then no one is going anywhere. Easy to find. Best experience we had on our Lapland trip. Dog sledding is super fun, can be challenging, and the dogs were very friendly. This place only accepts 8 ppl max on the tour. We had 7 ppl. Keeping it small makes for a better experience. The guide was super friendly and answered all our questions. We enjoyed it so much we ended up buying up what felt like half their souvenirs. They had Kuplika, beanies, sweaters patches, dog treats. We did the 4hr tour. About 2-3hrs of dog sledding which was optimal for 2 ppl rotating on the sled. I don't think I would have wanted more or less time. Recommend: 4hr Tour 10am to 2pm. The lighting was perfect.See more..

Our family of two adults and two kids (age 5 and 7), truly enjoyed our snowmobile trip on Jan 2nd 2022. We opted for the 30km ride, with a pitstop at a reindeer farm. At the reindeer farm, we had the chance to do a sledge ride, pulled by reindeers. That was a big hit for the kids. At the farm, we also got some hot beverages before driving back towards Levi. The excellent guide had a heated pod connected to his snowmobile, where our kids sat during the ride. The pod was comfortable for the kids and heated in a way that they could sit without glows and so on. My wife and I drove a snowmobile each. It was the first time for both of us, but with the initial guidance from the guide, we found it super easy and comfortable. The overall experience lasted for about four hours.See more..

I had been wanting to see them for a long time and they were out in their full glory. The leaders were fantastic throughout the trip. They were very knowledgeable and they made me feel very welcome. We went on a trip they advertised to a sacred place of the Sami. The lake and the forest with the rocks and creek with bridge and outlooks were stunning in the snowy condition. It was a rather easy walk uphill on a well maintained path to a Kota on a place with a great view. We had a great guide that told us lots of interesting things about the nature we walked through and made us a great fire with good food and drink. We made arrangements by e-mail which worked very well and you get great value (fun, ride, equipment, guiding and food) for money. We were out for the northern light photo tour by bus on a Friday evening. The tour started perfectly as we were told that we were the only participants so we had our private driver and photographer. The weather conditions were great so we didn’t have to go far to see the impressive Aurora Borealis right above our heads. Our guide (Maria) took many photos with her professional camera which we even received in the same night right after the trip. It was an experience we will never forget and would recommend anytime. Notice: nobody can guarantee that you see the Northern lights but we recommend to inform about the geophysical requirements so you can choose the most likely day for your tour.See more..
Truly amazing experience! You really feel connected with nature during this smooth sled ride pulled by 6 (real) huskies, even though they do not look like the ones from the Disney channel as they are bred for their power and stamina, they are so cute and are made to do this. Afterwards we talked a bit with the guide in his wooden cabin with the open fire and you can really feel that he cares about his dogs. The dogs are also used for longer tours (competitions) and are in top shape! A must do if you go to Lapland!See more..
Rami and his team were fantastic and very welcoming. It was evident that they cared about their huskies and they were natural hosts which made the whole experience amazing for all of us. The weather on our trip was stunning but absolutely freezing (painfully so) meaning we did not wish for more than the 5km and were really glad to retreat to their hut and camp fires! Visiting a Husky Ranch and riding the sled was just the dream of one of us, but caught us both once we were standing on the sled behind our lovely team of 6 dogs. We didn’t know what to expect, so we were very positively surprised to find ourselves making the dogs ready for our ride - or actually their ride, it felt - and helping Juho with getting ready for the trip. Both Juho and Hanna were super friendly and professional, also the dogs seemed to welcome us most friendly. We think that the dogs can’t have a better place to stay than this farm. I had great time in Ivalo. Most of all safaris I like snowmobile riding. That was really cool! If I had it at the beginning of my stay I’d definitely request more of it. Husky safari also was very nice, however, they are not very fast, and in low temperature I couldn’t take for longer than 2 hours. Reindeers are quite slow, but it’s a beautiful experience, too. Snow tank is the best for Aurora hunting, as it’s warm inside and it’s got a glass ceiling, which allows watching the Northern Lights for longer. There’s also skiing, horse riding. No one can get bored there, especially if you like winter and you are not afraid of low temperatures!See more..

We took a snowmobiling tour with them, the Tour of Kilpisjärvi. It was one of the most incredible tours I’ve ever been on. It was very cold and even though they supplied all the thermal gear, sometimes it would still get cold, but it was all worth it. We would definitely book them again!See more..

Amazing service - friendly personal and very helpful. Initially visited for some help with directions to another trip we had booked. The gentleman I saw was so nice - he called a taxi for us as we misjudged how far away the venue was and also tried to call the venue to say we'd be late. We decided to return and hire bikes a few days later and hadn't made a reservation but the same gentleman saw to us and managed to secure the last 3 bikes. This gentleman was so so helpful and showed us a few trails we could follow. Would highly recommend and one of the friendliest places you could go for customer service! Brilliant place.See more..
We did the guided fatbike tour with Lapin Luontoelamys on New Year's Day and it was a brilliant way to start the New Year! The guides were absolutely fantastic and helped our children (aged 11 & 12) to persevere with the first part of the tour. The guides gave lots of encouragement and support and the children soon felt confident on their fat bikes. The scenery was amazing and it was so peaceful riding through the snow. We stopped part way for warm juice and cookies - in a hut with a real fire - to warm up. The whole experience was fantastic and made all the more so by the guides! This is a great trip and I would recommend it for families with children over 8 years old who are confident cyclists. The fatbikes take a bit of getting used to but, once you are peddling, it is a great experience. Downhill is awesome! And I loved cycling across the frozen lake!See more..

None of us had experience skiing, but with the guidance of our guide, Yukka, and countless falls, we gradually got the hang of it. Skiing was truly a workout, never have we felt so warm in freezing temperatures. The activity can be customised to the group’s skiing experience. For our level of experience, we felt the duration of the activity was just right. We also made a pitstop at a husky farm for hot chocolate (payable) and got to see some puppies and sled dogs. (The toilets have no sinks to wash your hands, snow and hand sanitisers were used instead). We ended off the activity with a 400m walk to the carpark, with our skis in tow, and had a nice cup of fruit tea and biscuits in the van. We would like to commend Yukka for his patience and words of encouragement. He made sure everyone had fun while prioritising safety. Overall a very enjoyable experience.See more..

We contacted Wildmaker Lapland for a custom canoeing adventure including a 4 day canoe rental and transportation to and from the starting and ending places. Our trip started at Jerisjärvi and went trough Jerisjoki to Muonio. The route was unkown to us and we are beginners. We got some great info, tips and instructions as well as flexible service. I did not have any pre booking done and just walked in to the LuontoLoma Pro Safaris office near by our accommodation. Service was really good and helpful. They managed to provide bicycles and kayaks and canoe for two adults and two kids. Bicycles were in top quality, one electric fat bike and three full suspension bicycles. We did cycling trip in a one day around Saariselkä and then canoe trip in another day in Lutto river. Lutto river nature, trip and rapids were really nice and manageable. We did 2 safaris during our stay at the Arctic Fox Igloos - Husky Safari and Snowmobile Safari (both 2 hours). Both were well organized, safe, and so much fun! We were picked up from the Igloos and then dropped off at the end. They give you everything you need to ensure you are comfortable and warm on your safari - boots, snowsuit coveralls, gloves, hat, balaclava, extra socks, etc. The gear is in great shape and they have sizes for everyone. The guides were fantastic - very friendly, funny, and helpful. The Husky ride was my favorite (I love dogs). The rides on both through the forest and on the frozen lakes were some of the prettiest winter wonderland views I’ve ever seen. Highly recommended!See more..
Me and my partner did the Snowmobiling with Lunch, and it was awesome! We were lucky enough to have the guide to ourselves and it felt like such an amazing personalised experience. The guide showed a clear step by step procedure of how to operate the snowmobile. The route that we took for amazing, so much scenery and opportunity to spot wildlife. The guide would stop every so often to talk about any wildlife tracks or to give information regarding the area. She was very knowledgeable and really made the experience special. We stopped in the cabin by the frozen lake for lunch and had delicious food, warm juice and warmed up by the fire. For the price you pay it is definitely worth it as this experience was far better than the big groups the other snowmobiling companies go out with. Would definitely recommend.See more..

During our 1 week stay in Lapland we (4 people from Germany) booked a private snowshoe night tour with Pihka Outdoors. Joona was a fabulous guide and everything was well organized. We walked on a private path and felt like being pushed into the movie of ‚cronicles of Narnia‘. Trees full of snow looking like little creatures, untouched nature , snow glittering like diamonds and pearls. Joona was not tired to look out for northern lights which we finally did. We spent the morning at the snow castle. It was beautiful. Picked up by snowmobile from our hotel and whizzed across the frozen lake to the ice castle. The venue is beautiful and the hosts warm and friendly. We spent an hour looking around and the kids playing, enjoyed a hot drink and then came back by snowmobile sled. We didn’t quite know what to expect but we were fully informed on how to sit on the sleigh and even more exciting was we were instructed on how to drive too. We had a 11km ride through the most glorious place - forest swamp and frozen lake, swapping over half way through. We had a fantastic experience with O’nordic! We spent an amazing day with the doggies, they are all very cute! The sleight ride was amazing and the snowshoeing with the puppies was very funny. Spending some time with them, hugging and petting them is an experience that I will hardly forget soon. Mailys is very nice and caring. I usually perform all my travel alone and being a woman, I’m concerned with my safety. Then when I booked this tour I was honestly apprehensive because of all the unknowns in visiting the wildest and far away place, until that moment. It was to be a dream fulfilled at long last - I was so impressed with every aspect of this trip: the people, the nature of Saami culture, to breathe freely the silence, smell of pristine nature with lots of snow, contemplating a frozen river, try the Finn sauna and after the sauna go out naked with just a towel in the middle of nowhere and feel the snow falling in my skin, visit the northernmost village in Europe, purity of a starry sky well below my head with the lovely dancing northern lights, all made it worth the temperature of -26C, the best gift I could offer myself was to realize this dream, all exceeded my expectations.
