Snowmobiling delight!
Me and my partner did the Snowmobiling with Lunch, and it was awesome! We were lucky enough to have the guide to ourselves and it felt like such an amazing personalised experience. The guide showed a clear step by step procedure of how to operate the snowmobile. The route that we took for amazing, so much scenery and opportunity to spot wildlife. The guide would stop every so often to talk about any wildlife tracks or to give information regarding the area. She was very knowledgeable and really made the experience special. We stopped in the cabin by the frozen lake for lunch and had delicious food, warm juice and warmed up by the fire. For the price you pay it is definitely worth it as this experience was far better than the big groups the other snowmobiling companies go out with. Would definitely recommend.

Once in a lifetime experience // Perfect overnight ski trip to wildeness hut
What a great experience. Jussi the owner of the company managed to organize an overnight ski tour on very short notice. Just 5 days after booking we were leaving equipped with ski and sled into the snow-covered forests of Äkäslompolo. Saku was the perfect guide, he was making sure that we are feeling well from the first minute and was tailoring the trip to our needs, giving us several choices for potential routes from easy to sweaty ;) It was real fun making our tracks through untouched snow with him. The hut we spent the night in was just perfect. After reaching the hut by a beautiful, calm lake, we lit a fire to heat the sauna and sawed a hole in the frozen lake to get water. While we waited for the sauna to heat up, Saku prepared a delicious dinner. Of course, we couldn’t miss to take an ice-cold dip in the lake after relaxing in the sauna. Saku not only guided us perfectly during the trip, but also gave us very interesting information about the area and the surroundings as well as some good tips for the rest of our holidays. Thank you very much, we loved every minute of the trip! Highly recommend to not miss this experience when you are in Äkäslompolo. Get in touch with Jussi and his team - we are sure they can tailor a tour according to your needs. As a small local company, they are focusing on providing authentic experiences for small groups with local guides. If we would have had more time, we would definitely gone on more tours with Ylläs Experience. But we will be back for sure ;)

Canoeing at Äkäsjoki
A wonderful and relaxed experience canoeing at Äkäsjoki. We made a very last minute (one hour before the meeting time) decision to go canoeing at Äkäsjoki as part of a weekly scheduled trip. Everything was exceptionally well organised: travel, equipment, intructions. I especially appreciated our lunch during the trip: sauteed reindeer in a pita sandwich with fresh salad, lingonberry jam and pickled cucumber. Delicious and a very welcome change to our usual sausages! Our guides were very professional, the main guide made sure everything went smoothly and took our 6 year old on his canoe, which was very convenient and safe. The atmosphere was extremely relaxed and even though we got some rain and cold wind during the trip, I could not have asked for more. We had thought about just renting canoes, as it would have been much cheaper and we usually organise our outdoors trips ourselves, but this trip was worth every penny. Having some one else take care of all the arrangements made it so much more hassle free - and delicious!
