Taigausko is a purveyor of sustainable outdoor safari experiences together with our arctic husky sled dogs. Our offgrid camp is located between Muotkatunturi wilderness area and lake Muddus, in the northern edge of boreal taiga forest, near it’s transition to arctic tundra. Our aim is to provide a chance for the traveler to share in the heartfelt joy of the husky dogs running along a trail.

Absolutely delighted we found out about Taigausko! Super responsive to contact & easy to organise the experience. Tuomas & Elisa are both very welcoming & lovely people, who clearly love their amazing dogs! We had a fantastic time sledging, experiencing the beauty of snowy Lapland, before sitting around the fire to learn about the individual huskies, their stories, personalities & the story of how Taigausko came to be. It's a great experience to appreciate each individual dog in the 29 strong pack. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to experience the heart & joy of husky sledging near Inari! ??

Cannot recommend this experience enough!
What an amazing experience Taigausko offered! We were quite late with booking our activities (not recommended at all!!) but got lucky. Tuomas and Elisa were incredibly accommodating and accepted our request for a 4 hour tour including lunch. It was nothing short of amazing, we went in March (hence the option for a last minute spot I think, again don't risk it) and had blue skies and sun. It was very cold though, but with enough layers we didn't feel it. The lunch was delicious, reindeer soup with berries and rye bread and berry tea. Also good to know: Tuomas and Elisa keep a sustainable husky farm, with happy dogs who were very excited to go sledding! I would pick this spot over a large 'commercial' husky farm any day and cannot recommend booking with Taigausko enough!
