Great Experience, Beautiful Memories
I had great time in Ivalo. Most of all safaris I like snowmobile riding. That was really cool! If I had it at the beginning of my stay I’d definitely request more of it. Husky safari also was very nice, however, they are not very fast, and in low temperature I couldn’t take for longer than 2 hours. Reindeers are quite slow, but it’s a beautiful experience, too. Snow tank is the best for Aurora hunting, as it’s warm inside and it’s got a glass ceiling, which allows watching the Northern Lights for longer. There’s also skiing, horse riding. No one can get bored there, especially if you like winter and you are not afraid of low temperatures!

An Enchanting Northern Lights Hunting Experience with Ivalo Safaris
We decided to book Northern Lights hunting experience last minute even though we had encountered a sky full of stars and Auroras a night before. It was sheerly to experience the NORTHERN LIGHTS over the Lake Inari under a sky full of stars, away from the city lights. And I'd say we weren't disappointed at all. We booked Aurora Hunting Safari to Lake Inari from Ivalo, dinner in Aurora Island with Ivalo Safaris and were picked sharp at 7:30 from our hotel in Ivalo. It was just the initiation of a great night that laid ahead. We were taken to the base camp to get ready in the warm overalls that could protect us from minus 30 degrees. It was the action time. We were taken to Lake Inari and seated in a sledge that was towed by a snowmobile. It was romantic, beautiful and so different. We saw the Northern Lights and stayed there until everyone was content and happy. There was no hush created and Ivalo Safaris gave us a lot of time to take in the beauty. Later, we were taken for dinner and even fed the reindeers. It was a memorable night for us!

Nellim Aurora Zone Safari, Northern Lights
Nellim Aurora Zone, a great experience, and a great place to go and experience the Aurora Zone Safari, we saw the Aurora Borealis, went husky sledding and snow mobile riding to a reindeer farm. Lake Inari in Ivalo is amazing place with breathtaking views. The only down side is that the instructors do not take enough time to explain the controls on snow mobiles to the visitors and they the teaching people in the dark in stead on the day light, also the instructors drive off and leave some people behind. One of our team crashed into a tree and another party got left behind, its was their first time on a snow mobile, so if you go please take extra time to get the instructors to explain the controls fully and have a practice run to make sure that you feel comfortable.
