    This is one of my favorite hiking places in Rovaniemi. It is a hill top of a fell, called Syväsenvaara, from which you can have a panoramic view over the whole city! You can go here by daytime and see the sunset (especially beautiful in winter), but also at night time to see Northern Lights (cause there is no artificial lights). There is also an observation tower, which helps viewing. It is free to attend any time. The hill top is situated right above Santa Park attraction. Do get to the top of the hill, you head up from the parking place – you will see the trail, easy to find. You might rarely bump into some locals there, who are walking their dogs :) See more..
