A really enjoyable experience, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. The tour was informative, and my boyfriend who is an engineer was fascinated by how the ship worked and seeing the engine and control rooms. Getting suited up for the ice floating was a bit chaotic, which is the reason for me giving four stars. There is not much room in the changing rooms, and after taking off coats/boots etc there was a while of standing around which was the only time I felt cold. The floating itself was relaxing and a great experience. I have seen a few reviews saying that the time on the boat was too long, but I could have done with another hour or so to fully appreciate the ship and its views. There is a restaurant area and bar area on board to visit and warm if in between exploring the decks if needed. We took the afternoon tour from Kemi, and in the winter this does not include any lunch. There are a few snacks available to buy onboard (crisps, pastries) but I would recommend to eat a big breakfast, or eat lunch beforehand.See more..
We had three amazing days with Rauno and Tomi. I was travelling with my 12 years old son and we both did not have any previous experience of salmon fishing. Even though we did not catch the big fish this time, we gained plenty of experience and especially good memories. Rauno and Tomi really knew the river, all about salmon fishing and were also good company. We stayed at the cabin. It was clean, had kitchenware, small tv, and blankets and sheets were available and comfortable. Relaxing vacation with plenty of fresh air and pure nature around. Kilpisjärven retkeilykeskuksen kohdalta rannasta lähtee m/s Malla kohti Kolttalahtea ja kolmen valtakunnan pyykkiä. Laivamatka kestää noin puoli tuntia ja kävelymatkaa kertyy tämän lisäksi n. 6km. Polku on helppokulkuista ja reitti aika tasainen. Kävelyyn on varattu aikaa 2h. Perillä aukeaa hyvällä säällä kaunis maisema Ruotsin suurtuntureille. Retki on mukava myös vähän huonommalla säällä, jolloin tuntureille kiipeily ei välttämättä innosta. Meillekin sattui sadepäivä ja maisemat jäivät tällä kertaa sumuverhon taakse. Palatessa olikin mukava evästellä laivan tarjoamassa sateen suojassa. Menomatkalla saatiin hyvät ja henkilökohtaiset ohjeet rajapyykille vievästä reitistä ja kotimatkalla hyvät vinkit muista Kilpisjärven ja lähialueiden retkikohteista ja nähtävyyksistä.See more..

Meriken Leila-vesibussi vie 1,5 tunnin mittaiselle risteilylle Perämerelle Kemin edustalle. Matkan voi tehdä yhtäjaksoisesti tai nousta maihin Laitakarin historialliseen sahasaareen, joka on viime vuosina kunnostettu matkailijoiden käyttöön. Saaren luonto on raivattu, opaskyltit kertovat menneisyydestä ja laavulla voi nauttia omia eväitä. Halutessaan voi jatkaa seuraavalla Leilan vuorolla läheiseen Selkäsaareen ja viettää myös siellä pari tuntia ja palata sisäsatamaan päivän viimeisellä vuorolla.Kemin edustan saaristo on kaunis, opastus on kiinnostava ja laivalla voi nauttia makoisat pullakahvit.Etenkin Laitakarin saari on todella mielenkiintoinen paikka historiansa vuoksi. On todella hienoa, että nyt myös veneettömillä kaupunkilaisilla on mahdollisuus päästä käymään siellä. Turisteille Leila-risteily on ainutlaatuinen kokemus.See more..
