As the second biggest National Park in Finland this park offers peace and tranquility just few steps from the center of Saariselkä village. You have easy walking routes coming to the border and then short and longer snowshoeing trail. Short one you can do on any weather but the longer one takes you up on the fjell so you don't want to take that in a bad weather. Skiing tracks are going more deeply inside the park. At the summer hiking routes are going everywhere. See more..

The scenery in Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park is dominated by fells surrounded by forests and mires in their natural state. Because the area’s nature is clean and beautiful and the terrain varying, the park is a wonderful place to hike, ski and enjoy the outdoors. The silhouette of the fells can be seen practically at all times and the marked trails lead visitors to the National Park’s most beautiful look-out spots. The picturesque beauty of the Pallastunturi Fells has made the area one of the Finnish national landscapes. See more..

Mid-September is the best time to see autumn colours at their best. There are number of hiking routes for every ability. Noitatunturi route was great, but real hiking shoes recommended - the route is really rocky. See more..

    - Great place to enjoy nature

    Riisitunturi National Park image
Riisitunturi National Park represents the fell and hill landscape of Koillismaa district at its best. The most valuable features of Riisitunturi Fell are the colourful hanging bogs on the slopes, and on the top of the fell the breath-taking scenery over the Lakes Kitkajärvet and the forest landscape of Posio. In the snowy forests, trees are covered with ”tykky”, frozen snow deposits, which in the blue moonlight just seem unreal. See more..

The landscape of Syöte National Park, with its rugged hills, special bogs on hill tops and slopes, and old spruce forests create an attractive setting for a hiker. Syöte is the largest of the four parts of the Park, and it offers excellent possibilities for hiking in the summer as well as skiing in the winter. The cross-country skiing trails in the National Park form a remarkable part of the skiing trail network that serves the tourist centres of Syöte. See more..

Perämeren kansallispuisto on hieno veneilijän matkakohde. Saaret kertovat maannousun ja kalastuselinkeinon historiaa.
