   I am currently living locally and visited the Great Wall on a visit to Linhai. It is a well preserved and you can walk for 5-6km and take in the views. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of Chinese cities for a short while.    Qin Dynasty was built 2200 years ago. Now we can't see the real palace therefore really love this studio palace especially after watching very popular China drama of Qin dynasty. It is much more smaller than Ming Qing palace 明清宫 but still my number 1. There are 3 show every day with different theme, by morning, noon and evening.    Last year I had the privilege of being able to spend a few hours at the National Silk Museum in Hangzhou. The museum was built especially to illustrate China's great heritage of silk textiles. The interactive exhibitions explain the life of the silk worm and the making of the cloth. However the most amazing articles which were on display were silk textiles around 2000 years old. These fabrics still retained the colour and clearly seen designs of the weaving demonstrating the advanced technology the early Chinese had obtained. Looms and spinning wheels showed the equipment these beautiful were made on. These are amazing in themselves. It is a beautiful museum which is well worth a visit.    We were here on a Sunday and it is full, but not so bad then other locations I have been. The view is phantastic and if you don’t mind to walk some steps then you can walk down the mountain instead the lift and no one is there. The waterfall is very nice. So if you like outdoor activities and walking many steps then it is a place to go on a good sunny day. We paid from Ningbo City Centre to here 170 RMB one way.     Took bus 938 from Ningbo railway station and got off at the final stop. According to the bus driver the last bus back to Ningbo leaves around 5pm.     Avery pretty temple on th eoutskirts of Ningbo. Emperor Ashoka from India is supposed ot have built it... This temple has parts of Buddhas skull there.. The viewing is open till 4 pm daly. However, we reached there at 4.15 and the place had shut down. Our Chinese friends requested the monks that we, from India, have come to see..and he whole whole heartedly agreed to open the place for us...A great gesture...     This forest walk was one of the most interesting and quiet places we found in the west lake area. We were there in winter and the forest lacked the beautiful green hue we were expecting from the dense bamboo but the layout of the paths, bridges, small creeks and pools of water that are provided as you trek up the hill create a sense of tranquility and relaxation. There are also a series of Buddhist tablets and tombs on the way up and a number of trees more than 1000 years old. At the top you will find a couple of shops and tea house (although not open at the time we were there) and a large pavilion crowning the view back down. What was most special about our visit here was that there were very few people around, seeing approx 5 groups in the 2 hours we were there, so either we it was a quiet time or this place is off the tourist map.     One of the best natural places I could reach from Shanghai. The area is quite large with more gates to enter and there are various trails for hiking. As any other such place in china, the trails ground is manmade. But these are somehow more naturale, not just with thousands of concrete stairs. THese stairs are directly cut in the rock so it looks good and you can reach places that would be normally achieved only with ropes. The views are stunning, so big rocks. The streams are clean and refreshing, with fish in it. Tianmushan is nice, most famous but other places like Huxiao or Water Curtain cave are also worth for hiking. Stone houses on steep hills with winding stairways; cats watching baskets of fish drying; retired fishermen watching their sons and grandsons returning from the fishing grounds in the afternoon; truly fantastic seafood - you can dine on the quay; one of the coolest bars (at night) and coffee shops (morning) is the Rock Jetty Bar - you can have a latte "at the ends of the earth"; and do get up at 4:30am to make the trek to the Sunrise Pavilion - first place sun rises in China. -- it is worth the walk through the dark streets with only fishermen mending their nets out and about. The boat ride is a must-do when you're here as the boatman rides slowly through the town for you to take in the sights along the way. There's the usual gift shop within and a separate concession area, which wasn't open on the slow, cold day we visited.     I have been living locally in this area for 3 years and after my recent visit I cannot believe I did not go here before. It truly provides some of the most beautiful mountain scenery that can be seen anywhere in the world. If this area was found in Europe it would be world famous. The entrance fee, steep at 125rmb is worth every penny once you get up into the mountain peaks and look down on the clouds from the tops and it is possible to spend a whole day here.     The seafood in the village was amazing. I had street food barbecue squid and later went to a restaurant. We had seafood noodles, sea snails, some weird oversized shrimp, and baby octopus. The octopus was by far the best; it was a whole baby octopus that squirts out ink when you bite into it, yum. We took a boat trip around the bay and sailed past a Chinese naval base. There are a number of free and paid museums. My favorite on was the opium museum. Their beaches here have an admission price and are somewhat dirty. They do have everything: carnival rides, street food, stores, go karts, etc. but the cleanliness of the water leaves more to be desired.It's a very cool experience to walk around the old Chinese homes and see how the locals really live.     给好评了，因为不算太差~首先漂流没有描述的那么刺激，其次景区管理太乱了，景区交通没有含在票内是一点，景区建设也不是很好，浴室太差了还是冷水，从景区到千岛湖镇上班车很少，等不到或者赶时间就只能包车，而且宣传册上说到九龙溪只有16分钟车程，根本就是胡扯，我们从千岛湖广场到九龙溪漂流最快也要35分钟！最重要的是溪水被污染了，有些村民往里面排污水，有点臭了！

    Yaoxi is a very nice area with fresh air, nice trails, and clean water. There is an excellent waterfall (20 minute hike from start) with a pagoda nearby good for camping under. The waterfall's pool is good for swimming and has parts that are quite deep for diving. There are also many trails to get some exercise and enjoy the views. It's part of the DaLouShan trail network, so you can continue your hike if you want to the top of DaLou Mountain. Take the No. 6 bus to the end, followed by a 5rmb/pp minibus ride to the trailhead if you want to get there for cheap. Otherwise, taxi shouldn't cost more than 80 rmb from the city. After that we walked up towards the glass bottom bridge, another intriguing sensation. We enjoyed taking many photographs looking thru the glass pathway.     记得那时候去千岛湖是高二时候，我们整理好行李好以后就赶去千岛湖，乘上轮船，看着周围的千岛湖和岛上的风景，我感到很惬意，然后其中猴岛上最好玩了，给很小的猴子喂玉米时候，母猴子过来抢了，哈哈，笑死了。
    还有一个岛那是相当的刺激，我们身上绑好了带子，沿着滑铁轨从山的这头滑到了另外一头，我一边在上面滑，一边在那里看水里的清澈和蔚蓝，还有点带绿的，真的好美的一个地方啊，即使掉下去我都心甘情愿，因为我会游泳的啊。
    晚上，回到住的地方以后就去附近饭馆里吃饭，点了一个胖头鱼头，那个鱼头都有好几斤呢，几十元一斤，很大的千岛湖鱼哦，我们那天吃了好多好多，太鲜美了，现杀现吃，新鲜的很呢。
