4.5Tiantong Temple(88 reviews) - Temple Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM Spent 2-3 hours Ancient Ruins • Religious Sites
It’s located pretty far away from the city. During winter vacations there are not a lot of tourists, so you can enjoy the scenery and atmosphere. There is the certain time when visitors can eat at the monk’s canteen: the breakfast from 6:30-7:30, the lunch time at 12 and the dinner from 16- 17. Monks are coolSee more..

However, we reached there at 4.15 and the place had shut down. Its heaven on earth. If you come here stay at the victory hotel, its very western, and go to the guzhou KTV. Ask for Han ZI. Just park anywhere in town and take bus#5. 4.5Baoguo Temple(44 reviews) - A rare find Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Religious Sites
The architecture is magnificent; rare timber structures. As one who has built his own timber frame house the beauty here made me feel more than a bit incompetent. At the grounds are lovely as well. The government has been putting effort into enhancing the temple and the access road. Worth a bus trip from Ningbo!See more..
4.0Seven-pagoda Temple(34 reviews) - An Oasis of Tranquility in a Hustle and Bustle of the City Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Ancient Ruins • Religious Sites
Ningbo Qita Si, or Seven Pagodas Temple is one of the most peaceful places I've been to. It is a real Buddhist temple with nothing commercial (just a nominal charge for entrance ticket), not like in main cities in China. Tranquil atmosphere and real Buddhist monks here and there. If you want to take a rest from the crowded city, the Seven Pagodas Temple is one of the best places to visit in Ningbo. Next to the temple you can find shops selling Buddhist's attributes. Although, there is no food selling inside the temple, you can easily find a place to eat near the Temple.See more..
4.5Fayu Temple(32 reviews) - A major temple in size and beauty. Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM Ancient Ruins • Religious Sites

4.0Jiangbei Catholic Church(31 reviews) - Interesting European influence in heart of Ningbo Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM Religious Sites
This is a lovely Catholic Church in the heart of Ningbo, just at the point where the three rivers converge. We found it a beautiful and peaceful spot at the end of the ‘party zone’ called the Ningbo new Bund. The church is now refurbished and looks lovely. The outside is architecturally interesting give this is a ‘cultural misfit’ in a China. It only takes 10 mins to walk there across Xinjiang Bridge and takes 30 mins to appreciate. Worth a quick visit.See more..

4.5Faxi Temple(26 reviews) - A perfect off-the-beaten-track destination Religious Sites
Faxi Temple is a perfect off-the-beaten-track destination for those who want to experience a little Buddhist tranquility far from the crowds. Compared to the Lingyin Temple, the Faxi Temple is smaller but quieter because it is built on top of a hill. With yellow walls, black tiles, red lanterns, and classic views, it attracts countless young netizens to come and take photos, who grant the temple with the highest number of daily reservations in the city. It is also the holy destination for single people seeking marriage.See more..

4.0Ningbo Mosque(12 reviews) - Hard to Believe Friday: 6:57 AM - 6:57 PM Religious Sites
When I reached the Mosque it was kind of Hard to believe, Just behind Big Buildings, busy streets, modern neighbourhood, on a small street lies a small place for Muslims to offer their prayers. When you look at the structure which is still intact and looks pretty attractive and when you come to know that this small piece of building (made of wood) is 300 years old, you are pleasently surprised. This is also an indication that Muslims of Ningbo have succeessfuly existed amongst a non-muslim majority in a peaceful manner for centuries. Me and my friends were pleasently welcomed by smiling faces (As it was occassion of Eid too a day after) and it was very hartening to know that Muslims are existing in this part of the world for Centuries.See more..

This area makes a good outing especially during the cooler months. It seems to be off the list of the usual tourist spots, for some reason. Its actually a beautiful place, and the temples are quite amazing, hugging the sides of the cliffs precariously. we have a great morning here, amidst the sea of clouds that would sometimes flow by in the most mystical manner. 4.5Daciyan Temple(5 reviews) - Nature escape and beautiful scenery Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Religious Sites
We went to this place last weekend. Even though you have to pay 80 kuai entrance, it is not that commercialized yet and you only find two places on top of the mountain which sell water and snacks. Very nice scenery and a good hike, clean nature and a nice temple (not sure how old, but beautiful). We went by bus to Lanxi, then took a bus to Zhuge Bagua Cun and from the same busstation you can find a little greyish bus going to the bottom of the area. From the street where you can get off you walk maybe 10 min until you reach the ticket office of the scenic area. Needed time to visit is around 2-4 hours, depending if you take the cable car up the hill or if you walk. Take enough water as there are no supermarkets close and on top of the mountain the water is quite expensive.See more..

This was a private tour and it took about 1hour 15 minutes to reach Chongyang Palace from my Xian city centre hotel. The Palace is situated in a small market town with not much traffic. After paying the entrance fee you step over the threshold and into a zone of peace and tranquillity. I saw only one other tourist during my visit. The complex consists of a main shrine where incense is burnt in front of the entrance steps. This houses a large colourful statue of a Taoist deity. Around the courtyard are other shrines displaying the three most important followers of Taoism. Continuing onward to visit a small building containing engraved stelae most of which are mounted on stone Tortoises. Beyond this is a fairly new and pretty Pagoda. Overall, a peaceful and serene visit.See more..

4.5Wanshou Temple of Hangzhou(4 reviews) - Caves 0f 1000 Buddhas Religious Sites On your way to the temple, DON'T miss the caves off to the left. They're amazing, there's literally Buddhas carved throughout the caves. The headset with the history is helpful for 40 RMB with a deposit of 100 RMB. The headset tour helps you discover some carvings that you may miss otherwise. This made our whole trip to Hangzhou. The park is tucked into the mountains and doesn't display 1/10 of it's beauty until you enter. I was also fortunate to see the monks at the temple praying. A great day!See more..
4.0Changqing Temple(4 reviews) - ride the canals Religious Sites
You can get a ride in one of these boats down the canals for a price of course. It only takes 3 people. rowers work with both hands and feet. Temple is like any other temple in China but remember it's was a small town that has grown to 4 million people and is not one of the popular cities for foreign visitors so does not have the sparkle and grandeur of modern architecture as much as Shanghai does.See more..

4.5Tianning Temple of Jinhua(2 reviews) - 树木林立. See more..
We stumbled across Guyaoshi Temple almost by accident, because it was not included in any of the trip information we had gathered before heading to Xitang, in Jiashan County south west of Shanghai. It is a magnificent temple with what appear to be living quarters for monks, a large central temple complex, and a magnificent nine-storey pagoda. But the place was absolutely deserted and I suspect it was under renovation, as there were signs of recent restoration of painting. We were able to get into the temple but unfortunately the pagoda was securely locked, so it was a "no go".See more..
