Located just 30min out of jinhua city this tourist attraction is a great place to visit. The caves are located to the east of city in mountains. My visit was in winter so no visitors around, seriously, there were more staff than visitors. This made it great as no cues to worry us. The caves require a walk up stairs but is easy walk. Entry into caves is by a boat trip of about 30 mts under a rock shelf. You lay down flat to pass under which is fun. Caves are extensive but dry easy path to walk along. At the end of cave you climb stairs which are very steep past the Child water fall and Mother water fall. Easy a tough climb if not reasonably fit. Once out at top of caves you then walk down many steps , past temple that is worth visit, to car park. So if you have a spare moment in jinhua give the caves a visit.See more..
If you're looking at this, i'm assuming you're in the beautiful county of Tonglu already :) The Yaoling Caves are a series of cave complexes with some very beautiful interiors. Its pretty developed for visitors, with walkways etc all laid out nicely, inc the mandatory souvenir stops (which i feel u should just bypass). What is annoying is the cheesy use of multicoloured lights to illuminate the cave interiors. This i feel is the greatest letdown to an otherwise stunning place. (hence my photos are in monochrome, to attempt to capture the essence of the interiors without the awful colours!!!) still, its a place that is well worth the bus ride..:)See more..

The Changyu Stone Cave Scenic Area is situated in Wenling City, Taizhou. The entrance fee it cost about 130 rmb/yuan, for the child below 1.2m height if free. The scenic area are really huge and a lot of things to see such as the Stone Park, Panlong Pool, Guanxi Cave, Cave Concert Hall, Moon viewing flatform, Kwan-yin Sculptures, Shuiyun Cave and Panda Hall. This is Indiana Jones stuff. Spectacular mysterious ancient caverns. Most are still full of water and neglected. The most bizarre thing however is the level of destruction that is going on to the ones that are open to the public. Concrete is being poured over them, lights and speakers are installed, large fish ponds are being built inside the grottoes, modern carvings cover the walls now. By trying to attract tourists Despicable greed is destroying and defacing the ancient cultural historical and architectural wonder!See more..
I didn't think the visit would be worth it, but it totally was. The water was really blue and the boat ride was really smooth all the way until the park. Totally worth the visit.See more..

This must have been one of my highlights in Hangzhou. it was just so peaceful in and around the caves. I would recomend gettimg into the area as soon as possible, it can become crowded. But you can always head on up the hill to get away from the bussle. Wonderful phto opportunities.See more..
