It is an absolute must to visit. We went there on Chinese New Year's day. We thought that it's going to be packed, however the amount of people was very acceptable for such a touristic place in China. The river is amazing and very relaxing, a great place if you'd like to experience proper Chinese nature. Good thing is that they've got a small snack shack midway, the river is endless so make sure you're well prepared. The only sad part is that we forgot our bathing suits, although swimming is not allowed, would've loved to take a plunge in the pristine waters of the river.See more..

This area makes a good outing especially during the cooler months. It seems to be off the list of the usual tourist spots, for some reason. Its actually a beautiful place, and the temples are quite amazing, hugging the sides of the cliffs precariously. we have a great morning here, amidst the sea of clouds that would sometimes flow by in the most mystical manner. From the parking lot, there is a really nice pathway (around 1 hour) through the canyon: stairs, ladders, bridges. (Ladders are a bit difficult with small children) There is several point of view and the scenery is really beautiful. Even if we were there on Qingming holidays, it wasn't crowded. There is a bus that leaves from in front of the old railway station, near to Nan Hu plaza, downtown Quzhou. It leave every 30 minutes & cost 12 RMB, takes about 1 hour. Well worth visiting the canyon takes about 3 hours to walk. 65 RMB entrance on the weekend or national holidays, free the rest of the time.See more..
