Very beautiful! The car ride up the mountain to get to the "waterfalls is quite steep. But once you get there it's beautiful! "Hidden Dragon Waterfalls" The waterfalls are in a very steep bamboo-lined ravine, with concrete footpaths and metal staircases built up and down both sides. The waterfalls are part of a river which cuts down a steep ravine, of which Daxi Town is at the bottom and Wai Zhang Long Shan (a mountain village) at the top. It takes about 2hrs to walk up to the top and back down. You can take a zipline or tobaggon ride down. See more..

Lin'an County is trying to develop itself as a tourist destination but they don't do themselves any favours by charging 90 yuan for a mildly interesting and very minor sight like Baishui Waterfall. I understand that there is a shortage of clean air and greenery in Eastern China these days, but is it really fair to ask for $15 to see a single babbling brook and a 10 metre cataract? These are just not major sights, and 20 yuan would be a fairer price. In terms of forest, there is little apart from bamboo to speak of. It just doesn't seem to be reasonable to for this much money to see bamboo in China. They have made a maze in the bamboo with a Chinese zodiac theme. Such tacky "attractions" do nothing to improve matters. Nor do concrete pavilions, pathways and statues. Really, this place is little more than an overpriced tourist trip. A place for 2 people-drifting in summer, ticket price was around 100 RMB. The route was quite natural and safe, some places with fast water & some with slow water flow. There was a free locker to put your stufs before drifting on the water, don't take anything with you when you drift, and don't forget to protect your skin from the sunshine with sun-block before you start. Facility's employees could be seen by the route to make sure everything's fine, and there was a photographer who took your picture when you drift. You could checked if any good photos after you drift. The route is around 1.5-2 hours, long enough to enjoy the water, and you could take a shower after finish.
