Lovely scenery!

It's very charming - surrounded by green and the water is sparkling clean. And it's close to the city.

    Two lovely places to visit
Getting to Yantou took over an hour. Once there it's hard to tell where to go. (Exit the bus stop and turn left) After I walked several minutes, a tuk-tuk driver with a map stopped and showed me where he could take me. Since it looked lovely, I went with him. The destination was Taolong Cave, which I highly recommend. It has an underground altar area and a temple up the cliff with a waterfall and a walk back through a wooded area. You can get there more easily by getting off the bus at the "beach" area. From there you can buy the transport card and get the shuttle to the cave. I had to purchase mine after already paying for two trips. Using the transport card, you can get a van to Cangpo or on to Yantou. I really liked Cangpo, as it has old houses and temples as well as new ones. It is an ancient, living village, not just one for tourists. When I was there, there were only a few other tourists walking around. You can also walk on to Lishui, but I didn't have time for that. Lishui in Yantou is a walkway along the river that is full of shops. It's pretty but not worth paying for if you don't have time to walk to the next village to make the fee worthwhile. The last bus back to the city is at 5:30.
