4.0Bazi Bridge(33 reviews) - More than just a bridge. Tuesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Bridges
Yes, a bridge is just a bridge. When you think about any of the most 'beautiful' bridges in the world are just means to get from one side to another whether it's Brooklyn or San Francisco or good ole Shaoxing. This bridge is minuscule for sure, but it's all about the environment - it's surroundings are the sort of thing Westerners dream of when they imagine what they think 'real' China is going to be like and usually end up disappointed by the reality. Here in an increasingly sidelined quarter of the city you can experience that Western fantasy, washerwomen and artisans and all. This sort of thing will eventually disappear from the behemoth that is modern China and we should cherish it.See more..

This long bridge juxtaposes dramatically with the wide-open landscapes on both sides driving through, but at the end of the day, it's just another bridge, with little historical, cultural, or architectural significance.See more..
5.0Taishun Gallery Bridge(8 reviews) - New Bridges at guihu Village, south of Taishun. Ancient Ruins • Bridges
Four additional Langqiaos (Corridor Bridges) at guihu (Turtle Lake) south of Taishun. In the village of Guihu, the GuiHu Langqiao has been completely renewed, to a superior level. The whole village has been transformed into a scenic area, with the southern wall protecting the area from wind. North of Guihu, the Chengshui Langqiao, 8 km north of Guihu village, is a well preserved bridge hidden away in a picturesque valley, the access to this bridge has recently been developed, with a boating lake, and fish pond. 5.0Santiao Bridge(5 reviews) - ...15min nice walk to see it! Bridges
Among the visit of most of the Taishun lounge bridge, this one is located downstream your arrival point. It needs a 15min walk down along a small path under the trees with punctual views to admire the bridge in the bottom of the valley. The bridge is a beautiful arch-beam wood bridge above the river flowing between round polished rocks...nice to sit on to watch the bridge from beneath. Then... you will have to climb the path back for 20 minutes... Nothing extraordinary, unless walking up thousands of stone steps in a narrow path isn't in your physical capability. The walk, the river, the different views and the bridge were great !See more..
Usually the first bridge to visit if you stay in the village and that you can easily enjoy at any time. Disadvantage of this proximity are the building around. There is a temple on one side and a garden which should receive some maintenance work. A step stone river cross allow to walk all around the bridge. The proportion of the bridge make XiDong one of the most elegant of Taishun bridges.See more..
4.5Xuezhai Bridge(4 reviews) - Bridge in the city Bridges
XueZhai Qiao mainly deserves a visit due to its context: the city is built around. The result isn't the best urban pattern I have seen, but the interest is created by this 300 years old/new relation and respective cultures gap. If you look for bridges isolated in a natural environment, you are not in the right place.See more..
Yuwen is not a wood structure but a stone structure bridge. Connected with a temple, the bridge contains under the roof a place for the monk to live in. The context and the bridge realize a very poetic composition...but not so far, some landscaping works are not in line with the value of this place. Like often within Chinese historical environment, the design relation between old and new is not well skilled when the difference between the respective design of history periods (so obvious and representative of Chinese history) tried to be erased or reduced by some useless damaging mimetic design. If the accesses to the bridges should be developed... there is no need to overdesign them... but rather to maintain the existing in order to avoid the bridges to finally become a kind of Disney attraction. Hopefully it will stay rather "natural"!See more..

Stayed for the first week of Easter. Had a 6 person apartment for two people which was great. Might get a bit cosy for 6 people but 4 would be ideal. Nice and clean, towels, bedding etc. provided which is not always the case in France. Would have been nice to have washing up liquid, sponges and toilet roll. Pool is small and always full of kids but it was nice to have it. You get one free sauna session and have to pay for any additional. Location is great and really close to town with a ski bus right outside. We rented a car though which makes life much easier as you can get to the carrefour supermarket and other ski lifts easily. Morzine and Les Gets also within easy driving distance if you fancy skiing somewhere else, although the Grand Massif is as good if not better than these resorts. See more..
