3 Star Places To Visit in Region of Murcia, Spain (50)
- 3.5 Balneario De Archena S.a. (994 reviews)
-Enjoyable day out.
Spas
Visited last week as a family group of four adults. Underground car park costs 8 euros maximum for day. We only paid for the general pools experience which was shown as 15 euros each but discounted to 12 each for a family group. Upon entry at about 1130 it appeared very busy. Still able to find space to sit but sunbeds all taken. However by 1400 it seemed to have emptied and beds were plentiful. Indoor and outdoor pools were great fun and relaxing. Suitable for all ages. Loads of different jets and jacuzzis to try out and a fun lazy river. Caps are obligatory but took our own so don't know how much they cost at reception. Good changing facilities and lockers available however you need a padlock for the lockers which are 3.50 at reception. Didn't use restaurant but snack bar catered for our needs and seemed to be priced reasonably. All in all a fun day out. Would definitely return and perhaps pay extra to experience saunas/steam rooms etc. See more..

- 3.5 La Manga del Mar Menor (46 reviews)
-Lovely drive down the strip
Geologic Formations
We started the day with an early morning 21 kilometre drive along the La Manga Strip. This was the first time that my husband and I have visited La Manga. We usually look across to it from Los Alcazares or Lo Pagan. The strip was lined with apartments, hotels, and several restaurants. Either side of the strip was the ocean (the Mar Menor on the one side and the Mediterranean on the other). We parked the car and went to one of the beaches on the Mediterranean side. The beach was very quiet with white sand and crystal clear water with small fish. Having spent several hours on the beach we drove to the marina at Cabo de Palos. At the marina there were various cafes, restaurants and a diving school. We enjoyed a coffee at Snack Cabo P before heading to the Si! Bar at the La Manga Club for a 3 course Sunday lunch. See more..

-Course has seen better days
Wednesday: 7:30 AM - 6:15 PM Spent More than 3 hours Lessons & Workshops • Golf Courses
The award-winning, and championship, Hacienda Riquelme Golf Course is a cleverly structured Nicklaus Design, 18 hole, par 72, 6416 metre, links-styled golf course with no two holes the same. The golf course has been built to international and championship standards, featuring four sets of tees per hole, with shots made difficult by undulating fairways, deep bunkers, wild grasses, olive trees, and water hazards. It has a range of elevations and uses the strongly contoured greens divided into several sections by random dramatic elevation changes, making putting the main challenge. The golf course is nestled in the heart of a beautiful enclave in an idyllic landscape; golfers here can enjoy a truly tranquil round of golf. At Hacienda Riquelme Golf you can not help but allow yourself to be seduced by the fantastic Nicklaus-designed golf course; it thoughtfully combines every type of distance and challenge; designed to constantly push you and to make use of all your resources and talent. - 3.0 Club De Golf La Peraleja (29 reviews)
-A resort on the up
Golf Courses
Every resort in Spain has had it's problems and Peraleja is no different but this is one which is on the up. There is a buzz about the place now with new properties being built, additional plots being sold off and La Vista restaurant opening. The golf course has its problems and needs a little work in some areas but remains one of the best layouts and challenging courses around and you can play it at reasonable rates. The clubhouse is stunning with amazing views out to the Mar Menor and surrounding areas. We met some lovely people there and there is a lovely town Sucina close by. The beach is only 10 mins drive as is San Javier airport and the lively resort at Los Alcazares around 15 mins. Definitely worth a visit. See more..

See more..

-Great place for a holiday, all the year round
Points of Interest & Landmarks • Architectural Buildings • Government Buildings
Los Alcapzares is a town on the north bank of the Mar Menor.it is very busy during the tourist season, but it is also heavily populated outside that season. On top of the tourism, the town is very well supplied with golf facilities, and acquatic opportunities; plus, at the north end there is a bed of black mud, which visitors smear all over their bodies, to obtain the claimed health benefits. The town is very well supplied with restaurants, including those of a wide variety of national dishes from many parts of the world. Los Alcazares is easy to access from all over Europe - by air, via Alicante, by train, and very easily down the Mediterranean coast motorway (which has excellent links to wonderful and historical cities such as Barcelona and Valencia. -La "resurrección" de la Ermita del Chorrillo
Religious Sites

- 3.5 Playa El Mojon (3 reviews)
-A nice beach for a stroll
Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Beaches
We went for a nice walk along this beach the day after a big storm. The water in the Bay of Mazarron was very murky with all the mud that had been washed out to sea so we did not go for a swim. The beach had a life guard and toilets and ample parking on the cliff top and is accessed by wooden stairs. There were nice views of the beach and the bay from the cliff top and also the beach. It is just across the road from a camping site which is handy if you are camping there. There are also what looked like holiday apartments at the Isla Plana end of the beach. The beach is a mix of sand and shingle. See more..
