4.0Gredas de Bolnuevo(602 reviews) - Impressive Points of Interest & Landmarks • Geologic Formations
We visit Bolnuevo regularly and use the car park in front of the rocks. Sadly some are deteriorating due to weather and silly tourists damage. Well worth a visit.See more..
4.0Torre de Cabo Cope(80 reviews) - Great sea view and cove. Beaches • Geologic Formations
We love coming here! We have been staying in Calabardina for the last 4 years for our family holiday. My husband and I walk most mornings along the coast road to Cabo Cope (as do the locals) and we always sit here and just take in the sea air and beautiful view. We have days in our holiday where we drive down, car loaded with beach stuff and a picnic. There is a great area for swimming. In the evenings, we take to the mountain, go trekking up .... I guess we're a bit crazy but we love it :-)See more..
We started the day with an early morning 21 kilometre drive along the La Manga Strip. This was the first time that my husband and I have visited La Manga. We usually look across to it from Los Alcazares or Lo Pagan. The strip was lined with apartments, hotels, and several restaurants. Either side of the strip was the ocean (the Mar Menor on the one side and the Mediterranean on the other). We parked the car and went to one of the beaches on the Mediterranean side. The beach was very quiet with white sand and crystal clear water with small fish. Having spent several hours on the beach we drove to the marina at Cabo de Palos. At the marina there were various cafes, restaurants and a diving school. We enjoyed a coffee at Snack Cabo P before heading to the Si! Bar at the La Manga Club for a 3 course Sunday lunch.See more..
4.5Estrecho de la Arboleia(22 reviews) - A beautiful cool and shady walk on a hot day Spent 1-2 hours Canyons • Geologic Formations
We visited this beautiful place on a warm day and were very glad of the cool shade deep in the ravine. The first part was easy (stairs and a straight flat path through the rocks) If you are sensible you would turn around and go back the way you came when you get to the dried up waterfall. But we were feeling a little adventurous so scrambled up it and a few others as well! There were stalactites on hanging down the rocks in some sections, maidenhair ferns growing in the deep shade on top of some of the rocks, fossilised tree roots and coral made it a very interesting walk.See more..
5.0Barrancos de Gebas(18 reviews) - Daytrip from Torrevieja Geologic Formations
This is a very intersting but rugged place. It is a little bit off the beaten track but the scenaries are well worth. One thging is very important to remember: Do not try and drive or even walk the small dustroads after a heavy rainfall. You will get stuck in the clay. If you walk after a rainfall, use boots that you can clean easily and bring some plastic to put on the floor in your car. The roads can get very dirty. But as I said: the scearies are woerth itSee more..
