Walked to the market in the way to Fuentes del Marques and the Camino del Heurto and came across this monument. Built between 1760 and 1801 on the site of an older temple which you see the remains of. Very nice coloured stone as well but wouldn't go out if my way to just see this.See more..

No es un buen ejemplo despreciar lugares tan relevantes como este pequeño monte, que tiene el honor de formar parte de la historia Medieval de Cartagena y además está declarado Patrimonio Histórico, Cultural y Natural del Mar Menor. A lo largo de su extensión, todavía se pueden ver pozos y ruinas de las antiguas viviendas mineras, se pueden ver los restos de algunas Ermitas del siglo XV, en la parte de abajo está la famosa cueva Victoria con casi un millón de años y desde las alturas hay una panorámica impresionante mirando desde cualquier punto de los 360°. Pues por lo visto, esta joya histórica no interesa a ningún departamento oficial y la prueba de ello es que van pasando los siglos y nadie se ha molestado en conseguir que abran una senda para que la gente pueda subir y bajar sin problemas. Nothing to see - or even to get close to. Google maps and Tripadvisor seems to indicate that there are some ruins of Roman baths and even a museum here. But despite lots of banners indicating otherwise, there is nothing but a massive stone wall with writing where you can peep through the cracks to what looks like some very small poorly maintained ruins. The town itself just holds a sprawl of a seemingly very old colourful hotel complex that is the only way to get near any spring water. Could not even find a place to get a cup of coffee.See more..
Cabezo del Plomo is a very important neolithic site. On the top of the steep hill (part of Sierra de las Moreras) are the remains of a village with defensive walls, at the bottom a grave can be found. There are explanations tables onsite, some look a bit worn out. The area is outside Mazzarón village. The hill is easy to access per foot (no wheelchairs). In summer, take water with you and sun protection. No car parking available.See more..
En la ladera del Volcán del Carmolí se encuentran estas ruinas militares y aunque esté todo abandonado, yo digo que vale la pena acercarte hasta aquí para conocer de primera mano cómo era el famoso Polvorín y al mismo tiempo Escuela de vuelto de alta velocidad. Hay 3 búnkers que se mantienen en buen estado y puedes entrar en ellos para imaginarte la sensación que deberían sentir los militares en aquella época cuando entraban para defender el territorio. La misión de este antiguo Lavadero, consistía en darle el tratamiento específico al mineral de estaño que sacaban de las Minas que había más cercanas. Fue construido en el año 1920 y se encuentra entre la Cuesta de las Lajas y el Camino del 33, que es donde precisamente está la famosa y "turística" Mina Agrupa Vicenta. Sin ninguna duda visitar este Lavadero y todo el entorno minero que hay alrededor resulta curioso e interesante, sobre todo porque es una zona con mucha histórica.
