El Real Casino de Murcia (Royal Casino of Murcia) is an emblematic building in the city of Murcia. Its unique architecture combines modernist and eclectic artistic styles, and the beauty of the building awakes the admiration of all visitors. In fact, it is the most visited civil building in Murcia. It is situated in the heart of the city centre, on Calle Trapería, close to the Cathedral. The Royal Casino hosts a great variety of cultural activities, such as art exhibitions, talks, conferences, three book clubs and book launches. Institutional ceremonies and business events are also held in the Royal Casino. The splendour of the historic building is perfectly preserved yet it is adapted to modern times. See more..

We'd seen this place mentioned on a TV programme and we went along one Sunday morning. It was 3€ to get in and the gallery has three floors dedicated to the local artist and the top floor hosts travelling exhibitions. The building was modern, bright and light with a splendid little shop with very reasonably priced momentos. I liked the artist's work. Figurative but abstract at the same time but the best thing was that, at midday, the artist himself showed up and took us around for a half hour visit. His explanations of the process and the background really brought the pictures and projects to life and he seemed like a very pleasant and likeable man. See more..
  5. 4.5 Palacete del Huerto Ruano (7 reviews)

We went to see the building and the current art exhibition. A couple of the rooms are richly decorated in the Hispanic-Islamic style of the (19th and the sweeping staircase has a sweeping banister with glass spindles. We were the only people there and so could enjoy at our own pace the exhibition of paintings by Muñoz Barberán, (1921-2007), one of Lorca's most acclaimed painters. The woman looking after the visitors was immensely helpful and even gave us a beautiful exhibition catalogue. When three more people arrived, she called us over to meet them, Lorca's most well known living artist, Vicente Ruiz and his family. What followed was a delightful conversation in Spanglish, and we were presented with a book of his latest works which he autographed while the woman working there took photos of us. It was such an unexpected event, a real treat, and all thanks to the enthusiasm and kindness of this staff member. I wish I had asked her name, but thank you! See more..

The ART & WINE MUSEUM is a newly created cultural space which is gifted with a marvelous artistic collection. Not only are its exposed works unique, long-standing masterworks, but they are also of indubitable prestigious authorship. All of the pieces in the Museum belong to grand artists such as Andrea Pisano, Nicola Fumo, Alonso Berruguete, Pompeo Leoni, Montañés, Ignaz Günter and Felipe Bigarny, among many others of the same renown. This wide array puts together a patrimony of more than 700 years of history. THE ART AND WINE MUSEUM also makes up for a pleasant experience for the palate. Once the tour guided by the Museum Director is over, visitors will move to the gourmet area in a delightful and magic atmosphere that will take them to past epochs. There, the best selection of gastronomical products will be accompanied by perfectly pairing wines from Jumilla’s Protected Designation of Origin. See more..
  7. 5.0 Casa Del Artesano (2 reviews)
    Thursday: 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM Art Museums • Children's Museums • History Museums
    Casa Del Artesano image

  8. 4.0 Museo De Archena (1 review)
    - lokale geschiedenis plus wisselende tentoonstellingen
    Thursday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Speciality Museums • Art Museums
