  1. 4.5 Playa de Calblanque (941 reviews)
    - Beautiful natural beaches and coves.
Thursday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Beaches
    Playa de Calblanque image
Natural beach and coves. Stunning setting. Take everything you need with you as there are no facilities whatsoever but that keeps this area beautiful and natural. Lifeguards are present in peak season. We drove to the plentiful parking areas (which are free) however I believe in peak season you park up before entering and they provide a bus to the coves. Plenty of walking to be had around the nature reserve too, provided the sun isn’t too hot! My favourite beach for sure! See more..
  2. 4.0 Cala Cortina (342 reviews)
    - Absolutely beautiful beach
    Beaches
    Cala Cortina image
Recently we decided to visit Cartagena and we started the day with a stop at the Espacio Mediterraneo Shopping Centre. We bought some bargains from Mango, Primark, Pull and Bear and Pandora After visiting the shopping centre we went to Cala Cortina Beach near the port of Cartagena. There was a small carpark at the cliff above the beach. We walked down to the small beach and was amazed by the beauty and seclusion of the bay. The sand was soft and clean and the water was crystal clear with lots of small fish. There was plenty of space on the beach as there weren't many people around. We sat on the beach for about 1 hour before heading towards the port of Cartagena. See more..
  3. 4.5 Las Charcas Mud Baths (175 reviews)
    - Mud baths great fun
Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks • Beaches
    Las Charcas Mud Baths image
We went here as a family, you will need to take with you a container to collect the mud. We entered from a small wooden pier, you have steps into the shallow warm waters. We found the mud better for collecting at the right side of the small pier. We then came out of the water to apply the mud all over. After the mud had dried we went back in to the water from the pier to wash off the mud. You can float in the shallow water as it is so salty. It is great family fun Tip: Get there early to get parked nearby See more..

  6. 4.5 Cuatro Calas (157 reviews)
    - Best short coastal walk

    Cuatro Calas image
At 4km there and back this is a brilliant walk for anyone who can walk. The path is rock/stones but easy and is well signed. The 4 bays are stunning, the wild flowers which cling to the ground are beautiful and we saw a red tailed lizzard and yellow butterfly. The sea is crystal clear and turquoise/blue. There is a drinks bar and cafe at Playa Carolina. You can park at either end of the walk. We headed towards Aguilas on the road from Lorca turning right at roundabout as you enter Aguilas. Follow 'Calarreona' until you see a sign for playa Calarreona- it is opposite a narrow access on left to a beach parking area. We visited in May and very fee people around but can see that in summer it will be busy. You can also see some cave houses. I am not keen on lager and its gasiness but I found a lovely brew here: El Aguila: See more..

Great variety of Beaches, lots of different options from the nature parks and dunes on the med side to in the north to the muds in la pinatar heading south along bay to child friendly beaches, amenities all the way along from hire goods, loos to snack bars. Further along controlled water sports and sailing / water schools. Fantastic just to dive in and swim any where as there is virtually no currents and does not get much deeper than 2Mtrs at 100mtrs out. Parking if you can get it is free, or just park in town and buy picnic lunch and walk down. bike hire is a good idea for the day just explore along the prom. See more..

We love coming here! We have been staying in Calabardina for the last 4 years for our family holiday. My husband and I walk most mornings along the coast road to Cabo Cope (as do the locals) and we always sit here and just take in the sea air and beautiful view. We have days in our holiday where we drive down, car loaded with beach stuff and a picnic. There is a great area for swimming. In the evenings, we take to the mountain, go trekking up .... I guess we're a bit crazy but we love it :-) See more..
  12. 4.0 Playa de la Llana (66 reviews)
    - Nature in all its glory
    Beaches
    Playa de la Llana image
A natural beach accessible by bike or hike and part of a circular walk around the salt lagoons. Not for the feint hearted though, no facilities along the route from Lo Pagan to the marina other than a toilet at the windmill. Take plenty of water, sunblock and a hat if going in summer - mozzie repelent might be good too. There were jelly fish when we went in June (likely not the stinging sort but we didn't try to find out!!!) and lots of biting insects. That said, the water is cool, clear and fresh in summer, unlike the Mar Menor! Swim wear optional. See more..
  13. 4.0 Playa de Percheles (64 reviews)
    - Best beach around Mazarron

    Playa de Percheles image
I been visiting this beach for a number of years most recently last week. Out of season its nice and quiet with loads of room. Last week was the start of the main summer season so was far busier but there was still plenty of space to settle down and sun bath etc. The addition of the bar last year has made it an even better place to go as you can get good food and drink. Life guards are also on duty during the summer periods Defiantly worth the visit if you are in the area. See more..

Theres a cpl bars across the road so easy to get drinks and snacks. We will defo visit this beach again next year. Only thing I would say is get a pair of those shoes for swimming in the sea as it full of stones and pebbles and coral on the way in. See more..

    Playa de Las Salinas image
During a recent holiday in Murcia we decided to have a beach day at Los Alcazares. There was plenty of parking and we left the car in one of the sides streets. We sat near to the jetty just in from of Cafeteria Alaska and the beach was very busy. It was lovely to see a group of children kayaking and wind surfing. We brought beach chairs and an umbrella. On the way to the beach we stopped at the Pretty Shop (Av. Pinatar, 83, 30730 San Javier) to buy a bucket, spade and beach ball. We spent all day at the beach and enjoyed a picnic. The beach was very clean and there were great views of La Manga and the mountains. The water was warm and very clean with lots of little fish. Our son was intrigued by the dredging that was taking place. There was a lovely promenade just behind the beach and we had a lovely walk before meeting my cousin and her boyfriend. See more..

    - Well preserved beach
Thursday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 2-3 hours Beaches
    Playa De Los Cocedores image
One of my favorite beaches. Fine sand beach, located between Murcia and Almería, with easy access by land area and parking. The views are magnificent, the area is still preserved in the water, surrounded by stones, enabled by the esparto cookers and the caves excavated in the sandstone. It is worth climbing the right cliff to see the incredible views and the remains of shells, from thousands of years ago, trapped in the stone. Natural beach that deserves to be preserved and respected. See more..

Playa de la Reya, another wonderful beach, it has the distinct look of a Horse Shoe. This beach is situated near the Playa de Bahia beach. The waters of the Med in this area are shallow, Ideal for young children, for older children it's ideal for body surfing. It has golden sands, & waves at the western point of the beach. This beach normally has life guards in position, not always though, seasonal only. Pedalos are another highlight, in summer, these you can hire. A Bar/Restuarant called the Bangalore is available on this part of the beach for drinks & Food. A family friendly Beach. See more..

  25. 4.0 Playa Mistral (14 reviews)
    - Relaxing safe beach for young children
    Spent 1-2 hours Beaches
    Playa Mistral image
This is a great beach to go for younger children as is calm waters and can wade out far and still only waist deep. This is a blue flag beach so water quality is good. There are lifeguards here. There is a toilet on the promenade and a restaurant nearby. Also to the south of the beach you can hire paddle boats and jet skis. There aren't many and they go far enough away and out not to hear. The swimming area is netted so boats and any unwanted marine life I.e. Jelly fish can't get to the beach. Also for teenagers there is an inflatable activity area off the shore but within the nets and also only waist deep. All in all this is a great sandy well kept family beach. In addition there are also special wheelchairs for disabled to go into the water. I watched as the lifeguards helped do this with a disabled person. See more..

  31. 4.5 Playa Del Rincon (7 reviews)
    - Wild beach with stunning sunsets
    Spent 2-3 hours Beaches
    Playa Del Rincon image
Playa del Rincon is the 17th of 33 beaches in the 35 km of beaches in the Bay of Mazarron. It is a wild beach with no facilities and is the first of the nudist beaches and the start of a coastal hike along the wild beaches. Access to the beach is via a wooden walk way and steps and there is a small amount of parking here. We parked at the main car park at Bolnuevo and walked up the hill (15 minute walk) The top of the stairs is a wonderful view point for the most amazing sunsets where the mountains take on the most amazing colours. The beach is popular with families who like exploring rocky areas and snorkelling. You can take a picnic or if you parked at the main car park at the main Bolnuevo beach there are food options there like the Oasis Tapas Bar. Be cautious in the water as sometimes there are jellyfish and the nearest first aid point is at the main beach at Bolnuevo. See more..

We went for a nice walk along this beach the day after a big storm. The water in the Bay of Mazarron was very murky with all the mud that had been washed out to sea so we did not go for a swim. The beach had a life guard and toilets and ample parking on the cliff top and is accessed by wooden stairs. There were nice views of the beach and the bay from the cliff top and also the beach. It is just across the road from a camping site which is handy if you are camping there. There are also what looked like holiday apartments at the Isla Plana end of the beach. Playa de de Calabardina is the very pretty town beach of Calabardina. There are a number of restaurants overlooking the beach and beach bars on the beach. There is a lovely palm tree lined paseo for strolling along the length of the beach. It has a pier at the mountain end of the beach. The mountain makes a lovely back drop to the town. There are also mountain views looking towards Aguilas. The mountain views are spectacular and there is a hiking trail over the mountain to Torre de Cope. (Part of the GR92 Mediterranean footpath that runs from the Border of France to Tarifa). The beach is sandy and the sea was calm with a number of families on the beach. In September it was nice and quiet and the sea was still warm for swimming. We walked here from Puenta de la Risa after parking at the edge of the urban area and then walked to here, on a very wet and windy March day. It probably doesn't do the area justice but the walk was still pleasant and we got to see flamingos at last, as well as lots of dead jellyfish. Playa de la Cola is the beach just outside Calabardina on the Aguilas side of the town. You have the best view of Calabardina set against a mountain backdrop from this beach which you also get amazing sunsets to watch. It has a large carpark from which it is only a short walk into the centre of town and the main beach but this beach has its own charm. The beach is long and had a lot of dried seaweed on the beach.

Playa de la Raja is a nice quiet beach between Puerto de Mazarron and Isla Plana. It is next door to Playa El Mojon and can be reached by wooden stairs from the car park to the beach. No facilities on this beach but it is a short walk along the beach and around the corner to Playa El Mojon if you need the toilets etc. as the two beaches run into each other. The sand is coarse and pebbly. There is a bus that stops at the camping ground opposite Playa El Mojon which is not too far to walk from. See more..
  50. 3.0 Playa Del Club Náutico De Portman (1 review)

    Beaches
Playa Del Club Náutico De Portman image
