A historic watchtower overlooking the port of Mazarron

Just off the main shopping area of Ave Dr Meca there is a narrow little park leading up to Hotel La Cumbre and in the middle of this narrow park is the Torre de Santa Isabel. Torre de Santa Isabel is a watchtower high on a hill built to keep watch for Barbary Pirates as part of a coastal surveillance system built in the 16th century in the reign of Philip II. It is worth a quick detour to admire the views.

    Weed
This place is frequented by young local kids all smoking weed. You won't get lost finding it..... follow your nose. Disappointed that it's also covered in graffiti. That's the youth of today?

    Historic watch tower
Historic watch tower near to Hotel La Cumbre. Lovely views from here as you would expect. However it has been sprayed with graffiti and often frequented by deliqunet yoitha smoking weed ! The council need to take this historic landmark mark back and look after it properly !
