What a fun beach to visit! It is an easy trip on the tram from The Hague to Scheveningen Beach. It was very windy when we were there, but people were flying kites and it was fun to walk along the beach and on the pier. I would recommend leaving the boardwalk to eat as you can find less expensive options a few streets from the beach.See more..
The beach of Noordwijk is very sandy, wide and stretches for miles and miles. It is well facilitated with a wide choice of beach clubs, restaurants and pavillions in different styles - ranging from down-to-earth to loungy to luxurious. My personal favorite is J. van Roon’s! Also plenty possibilities for watersports. There is a large amount of parking but it dies run full on summery days.See more..

4.5Beach Wassenaarseslag(188 reviews) - Excellent small scale beach location Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
The Wassenaarse Slag is a very traditional, small scale Dutch North Sea beach location. There are a few very nice pavilions, including some historical ones such as De Badmeester. Also there is an historical hotel called Duinoord straight behind the beach in the Dunes. Paid parking is quite generously available. Overall a gorgeous place for a traditional beach visit without the incessant lounge music as in Noordwijk or Scheveningen.See more..
4.5Strand van Katwijk aan Zee(121 reviews) - Relaxed beach with great parking garage and authentic boulevard Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
The beach of Katwijk is wide, clean and adorned with numerous pleasant beach clubs. A bit more down to earth than “nouveaux riche” Noordwijk. There is an enormous parking garage right below the dunes, which makes it very easy to park nearby. The boulevard is still very authentic without any large scale property development and with the historic white church and ditto lighthouse.See more..

4.5Langevelderslag(61 reviews) - Outstanding beach with ample parking Beaches
The Langevelderslag is a lovely wide clean sand beach north of Noordwijk (closer to Noordwijkerhout really). It is more quiet than the beaches straight in front of Noordwijk and has a large parking lot with a fee of just 2 Euros. There are also several restaurants, a surf rental shop and there is a guardhouse on the beach. It is popular for kitesurfers and dogowners but also quite suitable for regular beach recreation.See more..
4.5Honden strand Noordwijk(38 reviews) - Walk the dog on a real beach - and have a coffee Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
Dogs are welcome year round and off-leash on the beach part of Noordwijk south of exit 1 on the Queen Astrid Boulevard - so essentially the part of the beach between Noordwijk and its southern neighbour Katwijk. There are also stretches where dogs are welcome outside the time window of June 1st - August 31st and stretches where they are welcome on-leash. The details of these rules are on the website of the municipality of Noordwijk. Dogs are also welcome year-round at beach club Bubbels (formerly known as Take-2) and off-season at many more beach clubs. Obviously there will be a lotof dogs at Bubbels and typically they are well-behaved after a tiring run on the beach! Good to know if you would like to walk your dog (and yourself) on a real expansive beach.See more..
