Busy beach with many beach clubs
Hoek van Holland beach has a very high concentration of beach clubs with little distance between them. And a large amount of holiday houses on the beach. A broad concrete walkway makes it easy to navigate these attractions. Otherwise the usual pristine Dutch North Sea shore, with significant amounts of parking available.

Great afternoon at the beach, and an even better sunburn afterwards
The beach at Hoek van Holland is one of the best known beaches, and the closest to Rotterdam. Due to this, it can get quite crowdy at times. Still, the big crowd is concentrated at a fairly small part of the beach, meaning you'll have plenty of space and privacy when walking 20 minutes along the beautiful coastline. The water is unbelievably clean (compared to e.g. Zandvoort or Bergen aan Zee). In case you love watching big freight- and containerships pass by you just meters away, you should definitely check out the passage from the Maasvlakte to the open sea! There are multiple places to have a drink and/or snack for reasonable prices. All in all, Hoek van Holland is one of the more crowded beaches in Holland, but surely worth the ride. You can get there easily by car (plenty of space to park), train or bike. PS. make sure to drink enough and cover yourself against the sun, or you'll be shaking for the next 2 days due to a nasty sunburn :)
